Hmm, been a few years since I completed season 1.

Maybe I should get another and start it with another friend group. Still been sitting on season 2 with my previous game group.

To my understanding, the Blue and Red Editions are the game game, just with different packaging and coloring so you can play it a second time, correct?

Mostly correct. I heard different colors were to make is easier to distinguish which game was which if you were playing with multiple groups or if larger groups played two copies.

Does anyone think this will eventually go out or print? I've been wanting to pick it up but I always have trouble finding a good group of people to play board games with. But pandemic is my favorite game and I don't want to miss out on this, I hear it's so much fun.

I have two daughters, ages 12 & 11. We play board games as a family and enjoy Pandemic, Sheriff of Nottingham, Forbidden Island, etc. Has anyone played this with their family of a similar age? I want to know if this would be too complicated for them or if they would get bored by it. Thanks in advance!

I don't think you would have any issues, especially if they already know how to play Pandemic. It adds some new mechanics and goals but usually just one or two per game so it is easy to pick up. While I did not play with my kid, we did play charterstone when he was 10 and Jaws of the Lion when he was 12 and had no issues. I would say both of those are heavier than Pandemic Legacy S1.

While the story is a one time playthrough, I feel like you could easily play it again just as a regular game. Even better with the upgrades you could pick and choose to use.

Sort of. At a minimum you'll play 12 games. Max 24. That's just to complete the campaign. You could continue to play afterwards, however.

Nope, I highly doubt this game will ever go out of print. It's been either #1 or #2 in the overall rankings on BGG for best board game of all time essentially since it came out. Games like that don't go out of print. I bought it a few years ago when they used to sell for $24 but once the real Pandemic (Covid) started, the price of this game (and lots of games) skyrocketed. Who knows if it will ever drop to pre-covid prices, but i would literally be shocked if it ever went out of print.

I actually think the regular pandemic game is fun, but not amazing. Legacy is AMAZING. Still my favorite game and I've played through Season 2 & Season 0 as well. I do also like Gloomhaven (which took over the #1 spot on BGG) but personally I think I like Pandemic Legacy better.
