Don't qualify but would certainly do the 5 years for those couple long road trips a year.

I should qualify on my 2007 Audi Q7, which hasn't had a sub in 5 or more years but I do not see it. Is there a different URL for the 5-year plan?

Looking a little further, it appears this offer will only be extended to radios in cars that have not had a subscription for 5 years. So that means that unless your car is a 2015 model or older (considering that most cars with a sirius/xm radio also have a free subscription for a good chunk of time which would have to run out), your car radio is pretty much automatically disqualified from this promotion.
Anyone offered this deal can cut and paste the fine print here. There have been older deals that targeted long inactive SiriusXM radios but there have been exceptional deals for others who simply have an inactive radio. I have the three year deal myself that I successfully transferred to my new car about three months in. Presumably, once could activate an old radio on a long sold-off car and then call up and transfer it to your new car. In all the years with XM Radio, the one absolute truth is that deals are only no good until you reach a CSR that makes it happen.

I called, they said it was for car models 2010 and older
More nonsense from the Philippine call center. I called and they said it was good only for Ford Model Ts. LOL. Seriously, unless you have a specific promotional ID number for the hundreds of promos they run, they are just making it up to get you to pay more. When you enter the radio ID on the promo page, the deals they offer are keyed specifically to that radio ID. If you want the best deals, turn your radio off and within a month they will be sending you winback promos. You can suddenly qualify for this deal, but under a different promo ID.

Just a heads up the "Music and Entertainment Plan" does not include Howard Stern or NFL Games, both of which I listened to.

I cancelled last month because I was getting the Platinum Plan for $72 a year and when I called to play the renewal game they gave me the Music and Entertainment instead for $6 a month.

Is anyone benefiting from sat radio anywhere on the East Coast. I used them in Texas with no reception issues. With the trees (I assume most anywhere except Florida), I expect others on the East Coast face the same reception issues. I've got multiple pre-activated 3 month free trials but never been able to listen. Is satellite only prevalent elsewhere?

Nope - It's transferrable. Somebody sued them and won. You have to pay a transfer fee ($75). But I'm in my 2029 transferred from my 2009

The lifetime subscription was tied to the radio, not the account.
So unless you are driving the same car from 2002 today, sure you got a great deal.

In South Carolina my signal comes and goes briefly at certain locations

Transfer fee is $35 per the settlement.

Seems like a waste of time having to negotiate every 6 months. May be smarter to purchase a Bluetooth receiver and stream free directly from your phone.

Is the streaming quality better than the actual satellite feed? They have a free trial right now and I'm reminded of how bad the music sounds in my car.

When I had a long commute I had it mostly for talk radio. Howard, O&A, Ron and Fez. O&A are gone, Ron does a show with his daughter now, and Howard is a shell of himself who only works like half the year.

I'd pay for the old Howard segments they used play on 101 but heard they censor those now.

Shucks, I literally just activated a free trial and it probably disqualified me. Haven't had SXM for about 8 years.

My radio was up for renewal and was offered $72/year, but they wouldn't budge on giving credit card, instead of paying by invoice. Cancelled, and will wait for offers. I always got bill 2 weeks late and of course $280/year, which if I had CC on file they would have charged. I will do without before giving SiriusXM my CC#
