Is it a MEANINGFUL Dolby Atmos system with a pair of top-firing speakers? (Gives a vertical spatial dimension) Or just another 5.x sound system with a Dolby Atmos badge given because it meets their bare minimum requirements?

Just a heads up. Newest firmware broke this system completely. Make sure you don't connect it to the internet if you buy. I had to buy a new soundbar because of the firmware. It's a great system when it works but sadly VIZIO does a great job now a days with breaking their systems with firmware updates and then taking months to fix if they do actually fix it. Also you can't downgrade the firmware so once it's on there you're stuck with it

How many watts?

TCL ALTO 8i 260 watts with 8 speakers
Philips tabp603 320 watts 7 speakers plus bt subwoofer 120w active

both of these have dolby atmos

Dammit that's what happened I thought it was the Apple TV connected to it that was causing issues
