I have it. My needs in a hair dryer are simple. That's this. It's noisy but it works. Cord needs to be longer. I paid $7.xx a few years ago.

there are a few reviews of it melting and catching on fire most likely due to user error.

Dern, I bought the other 2 Conair hair blow dryers for $10 and $11. I'm also simple, just need hot option, really. Lol Is it worth the work to return those and get this?

I've had this for over 5 yrs now and works great. It is powerful for its' size, compact, great for travel and if you are not too particular about hairdryers it can be an awesome at home hairdryer too!

Mine had a piece of the metallic heater unit fall off and fly towards my head at high speed. Was saved by the grille at the front of it, but had it came at a different angle I am guessing it could have been pretty dangerous. It got retired after that stunt. Overall it worked well up to that point...
