Apparently there are two models, the TS813 and the TS8132. I assume the TS8132 is the newer and current model. The biggest difference appears to be that the TS813 does not have optical and the TS8132 does, so if optical is important to you this could be a concern.

Since the Walmart listing says it supports optical and comes with an optical cable then it should be the TS8132. But about half the reviews say it doesn't have optical, so I guess it's a crap shoot on which one you get. I ordered one for shipping thinking that I might stand a better chance of getting the new model instead of one that's been on the store shelf for a year, but I could be wrong. I didn't feel like driving down there and fighting the crowd to find out which one they had.

The TCL product page is at https://www.tcl.com/us/en/products/sound-bars/alto-8-series/alto-8-plus-3-1-2-channel-sound-bar-ts81... [tcl.com] To further confuse matters near the top of the page it lists optical, but in the Specifications sections it says Optical = NO. The downloadable specs PDF says Yes.

I guess I'll find out in a few days when it arrives, and at least Walmart is easy for returns.

Sorry. All I did was copy and paste the description from the Walmart website. I'm just someone who was looking for a soundbar and stumbled upon this deal.

Just grabbed one of these at 120 with the Promocode and some rewards cash I had on my Walmart CC. Hopefully it sounds good. I am not big into audio and live in an apartment with neighbors right next to me so uses will be few and far between but I do want to get the Dolby Atmos experience to go with the Dolby Vision on my LG C1 without paying too much so this might be a good choice.

Just got mine today. Connected it to a fairly new TCL TV using ARC HDMI and there's a noticeable lag in sound. Actors look like they're lip synching. Anyone knows a fix for this? I tried adding a delay etc from the TV but when i switch it off and on? The timing is off again.
I am having the same issue. I turned off all devices and turned them back on. Same issue, like a 1-2 second delay. Pretty annoying.

Mine were hidden on the opposite side of the box from where you open to slide out the sub and bar. They were taped to the back of the sub foam support, they were separate of the bag holding instructions and other cables, or yours may have been a return?

Picked up mine yesterday from a local store, used the wowfresh coupon as well! Hooked it up and tried it out, so far it seems fine for what it is. If you've owned a real 5.1 or 7.1 system before and your expectations are not to the level those will produce it should be fine. I had ordered a Yamaha ATS 2090 from Amazon the other day that I couldn't cancel when I saw this deal pop up, it's supposed to be in by Wednesday. I am going to hook up both and see what the difference is. The only underwhelming thing with the TCL for me is the music via bluetooth, it seems very flat and muddy compared to my old yamaha sound bar that died on me. Also, I haven't been able to get Atmos to work on anything I've tried it with, Netflix, Vudu, etc. Any ideas?

Are you still having issues? I don't have any. I used the HDMI 8k cables I purchased on Amazon. I didn't use the one it came with in the box.

My first time experiencing Dolby Atmos. This thing rocks!! I'm hearing things I never heard before!

I installed my Apple TV 4K into HDMI in port on the sound bar, then connected a second HDMI cable on the out port into LG 4K TV stating HDMI 2 ARC.

Turned on HDMI ARC settings, source it to HDMI 2 ARC.

Works like a charm!

I still am. And 8K HDMI? I boot up the tv, sound bar comes in and I see the tv playing before the sound. Tried various apps on my Apple TV, no difference.

Got mine yesterday and hooked it up to my Xbox One... some caveats, but maybe someone can suggest something:

My setup is Xbox One
|
HDMI matrix switch
| \
| projector
\
soundbar (via optical)

When using the optical connection, the only outputs I could get to work were stereo uncompressed and Dolby Digital. Neither one sounded great in both movies and games. If I set it to 5.1 uncompressed, there are clearly missing channels while watching movies... I was hoping the TCL could downsample the 5.1 to 3.1 at least? On reddit I see other people saying their 3.1 soundbars downsample 5.1 just fine.

I also tried using HDMI cable to the soundbar instead of optical, and the same settings above worked and sounded a lot better. Also Dolby Atmos worked and sounded good. But still not 5.1. I was surprised that Dolby Digital with HDMI sounded better than with optical - shouldn't they be the same?

So it seems like the only way to make this setup work great is by configuring Xbox One to output Dolby Atmos and use HDMI out - I'm a little sad, because I preferred to use optical since the cable is thinner. I was hoping I could use optical 5.1 and have the TCL downsample it. I'm debating returning this for a true 5.1 that I can use with optical.

What don't you like about it and how hard is it to pack back up? Have you decided on another sound bar?

I bought one of these over the weekend. The wireless sub doesn't work. The pair light is solid illuminated in the back but nothing comes out of the sub. I tried to repair and the soundbar says it is paired to the sub but nothing. Sub DOA will have to return.

Also I'm sure this has been answered but it does have an optical input on the soundbar I saw someone wondering about this.
