I know this has been discussed in the past, but I can't remember what the result of the last discussion was.

Does anyone remember how many no receipt returns are allowed before the national registry of returns blocks you from doing a no receipt return?

Does anyone have any experience in the last 18 months with these types of returns at CVS or Walmart?

TIA!
I am really curious how this works. I didn't even realize that there was such a thing and I used to work in retail.

For the record, I am not going to return what I got at CVS. I wanted to buy five boxes of the Nature Valley Oats & Honey crunchy granola bars. My son and I like to go to this animal sanctuary place. Animals who were surrendered or maybe found injured, etc. They are behind fences and there are no feeding signs, but we, as well as everyone else, disregard that. Long story long, most of them seem to like the granola bars and they seem like a healthful snack. One of the horses has stomped and whiney-ed at me when it wants more.
Couldn't find five boxes and got a chewy one, but worried it won't be as good for them. I have read that some animals (foxes) shouldn't eat raisins. It's a non-problem problem/

I'm really curious about the whole return registry thing though.

If there are no feeding signs you should follow them. Just because others do it is not ok for you to compound the problem. Animal weight/ diet health is a huge issue with captive animals that arent often getting the needed exercise and should be tightly controlled. Them having an unknown diet and caloric source will be damaging to their health. I suggest you see if docent positions are available so that you can learn the impact first hand but also still have opportunities for interaction.

The actual issue is animals can be very dangerous where food is concerned. Just like the reaction you got from the horse. It's important to understand why they are given specific food to eat. If they eat a human food they like, they will become aggressive to get more and are willing to attack you to get it.

You are also correct. I guess deep down I know it. I'm not really worried about aggression. Some of the animals are behind double fences so you can't get your hands near them. Pretty sure those are the biters.

Most people don't feed the horses because they are kind of out of the way and I think people are scared of their giant chompers.

I'm not gonna lie.....I hate these chains for this very reason laugh out loud If I'm only planning to spend $6 and now I'm asked if I want to pay more than $40 under the guise of "paying it forward" is that really "paying it forward" or "leaving the money in my wallet behind" lmao

I got caught in one at Chick-fil-A of all places. Luckily the car behind me was like the same price as my order, but otherwise I would have had to look like an ass for breaking the chain ugh hahahaha

At 23 cars and $46, it makes me wonder if someone at Starbucks alerted a friend to come enjoy the perks of it all. I mean, I don't do Starbucks because among other things, I think it's part of the reason so many people feel financially entitled even as they're paying $6 for a drink they can't really afford, but $46 can buy some goodies even at their inflated prices.

Yeah, it happens every so often. One time someone started a chain at a local Starbucks here and it made the local news because it went on all day until the store closed that evening. It usually starts with one well meaning person paying for a singular coffee but then spirals....And you have no idea it's coming at you until you get to the window to pay and the cashier is like, "the car ahead of you paid for your order!" and then they hit you with the "would you like to pay for the car behind you?" but don't tell you the cost and expect you to hand over your card....so you have to be the jerk to ask "Well how much is it?" and hope it's a reasonable amount so you're not the cheapsakte who broke the whole chain Roll Facepalm

These chains always seem to be at Starbucks or Chick-fil-A lol. Whenever I hear about them happening it's always one of these two places which are already pricier than their competitors . I never thought about an workers calling a friend, but it's really easy to spend a ridiculous amount of money at Starbucks with 2 or 3 people getting a specialty drink, sandwiches, snacks....I can see it being $46.

I never go to Starbucks unless I have a freebie or BOGO offer and I'm using a gift card. It's way toooo pricey for what it is.

Anyone have any experience with VRBO? I am looking for a hoe to rent for about a week. I put my dates in the search field. I picked out a place that looks just perfect. They said they require advance permission to have a dog stay so I messaged the host. I got a terse reply back that they are monthly only. I messaged back apologizing and explaining this was my first experience with vrbo. That I reread the terms and didnt see anything requiring a monthly stay, could she please message back with where that information is listed and Ive heard nothing. I was hoping maybe she had multiple properties and she made an error in her reply or that at least she could tell me where to look for this info since it is hidden somewhere that I am not seeing so I dont continue to waste my time with other properties that vrbo will seemingly let me book but are really available for my stay. So my question to any that have used vrbo...will it let you book in situations like this or where should I be looking for that kind of info (or is this host just a bad host...stellar ratings from those that actually stayed there)?
