The vaccum itself is great, but the inner lid just melts after awhile and shreds little micro plastics. Then they complain you're using their product wrong....cause you put hot water in their thermos. They then sell you another lid for $10.

I disagree. The quality has definitely gone way down in the last few years (unless you buy their overpriced Master Series stuff) and it isn't worth the MSRP but for $15 you're not going to find a better insulated thermos.

Got this exact model last year - the heat-retention is amazing and it looks cool, but be aware that the cap/cup is horrible. The Amazon description says that it's Eight Ounces, but it seems to hold around 5.5 oz. There's barely room for a teabag in there with the water. It also doesn't seem to be insulated at all so if you actually pour something hot into it, your hands will get burned. It's like holding boiling water in a shot glass.

But if you don't plan on using the lid as a cup and you're ok with it being gigantic (it's so tall it doesn't fit in any of my cabinets so it has to stay on the counter), you might like it.

I'd never own another stanley. They are pieces of shit now days mad from junk steel in China, and they will also make your coffee or water taste like shit. They are pure junk. I would recommend thurmos brand, it's way higher quality. No money for a stanley is a bad deal. Junk.
How do you know if you don't own one? I've had one made in China, been using it for 8 years, it's been my best buddy always. Unless they changed the martial quality after I bought mine.

In for another one so I don't have to decide between taking hot chocolate and hot buttered rum.

Agree, i had the thermos shreding green plastic particles in hot water, the lid just disintegrated. So called life time warranty just didn't exist, after contacting Stanley they want me to purchase another lid which probably will melt again.
Stanley for ogre.

Thanks for sharing. Help saving me from disappointment later on. I religiously avoid companies claiming warranty terms but failed to honor them when called upon.

No sure how, but I have been using mine since 2016 and filled it with boiling water everyday. Nothing fell apart besides some dents on the body of the canister. This actually pour better than my Stanley one. The inner screw can be hard to open when it's sit for a while with hot water. The Stanley one is a bit better with pointier shape knob.
