Lower single threaded (10% to 15%) performance as 5700U is based omn Zen 2 architecture and has has half the L3 cache.

I got this for my Fiancée to use in digital art programs when it was this price a month ago. It has a solid battery life, but it can get pretty hot. I think I might return it for one that had upgradeable ram, but if this fits your function it is nice.

I think you are chasing a tangent here. This has been my experience with a recently purchased 2 in 1 that uses AMD.

Apparently, some people have a workaround for this issue by updating their Intel Integrated Sensor Solutions Driver.

Again, the AMD processor reference was not the point of my initial post.

I spent 2 hours with support and updated all the drivers. Might have just picked up a lemon
I did a fresh install of windows 11. Then download all the drivers via Lenovo bridge. Then download the AMD drivers from their site. Hope this helps.

Make sure that this is Windows 10.

There is no Tablet Mode in Windows 11, which makes 2 in 1 laptops an utter mess. One critical flaw is that when you use it as a tablet, the on-screen keyboard does not automatically pop up when you enter a text box. You have to manually click on the taskbar for the onscreen keyboard and then click back to the text box to type.

Surface products have a detachable keyboard so it isn't effected by this. Microsoft is effectively hindering other 2 in 1 manufacturers by removing Tablet Mode in W11

Edit: It may be just AMD processors, I have not tested Intel ones.
Idk what you are talking about, maybe when it first came out but, my 2 in 1 that I got a couple weeks ago, the keyboard comes up automatically when in a text box, and disappears automatically if I flip it back to a laptop if I am in the middle of typing something.

My last Lenovo Yoga developed a problem along the poorly constructed hinge within 1 week after warranty period ended. Looks like the 2-in-1 design just takes its toll. Initially, I lost one of the colors and everything became green-shaded. Then it was ghost images on the screen, followed by the hinge itself breaking off. Absolutely no support from Lenovo. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Yoga series which has "poor-quality" written all over it.

It already has 16gb of RAM! Lol It's hilarious how some people really think they need more. Only a VERY small percentage truly need it.

I do feel that the deal is worthy of a thumbs up, but front page is a bit much.

Oct 11 - $720 for 16 GB & 1 TB version on Lenovo.com with 10% Slickdeals Cash back
Sep 30 - $760 for 16 GB & 1 TB version on Lenovo.com with cash back possibilities
Aug 2 - $700 for 16 GB & 512 GB version at Best Buy

After checking out this laptop in store, I was turned off. I am not a fan of the fabric cover. Any damage to the fabric is going to be quite noticeable and catastrophic, especially in the corners. The lid is not one-handed. I'm also not a fan of soldered RAM, although to be fair it is hard to find a laptop in this class (thin & light) that doesn't have soldered RAM.

Or you might have been unlucky enough to speak to a help desk tech that didn't know how to fix your problem

This is a common complaint that I get from people and it affects windows 10 and 11 because it's a windows setting. Updating drivers won't get you anywhere, you need to change the setting in Windows that pops up the on screen Keyboard when the laptop goes into tablet mode.

Go to Settings and click System > Tablet > Change additional tablet settings. Now, use the toggle to enable "Show the touch keyboard when there's no keyboard attached".

Which year's model was it? Normally Laptop manufacturers update their designs over releases and address known issues. I also have a Lenovo Yoga Y720 with a i7-7700H and GTX 1650 (1st 2-in-1 with such a configuration) and it is still running strong after 4 years. You had an issue with one 2-in-1 does not mean all the 2-in-1 released from that company after that are having same issue.

I got a similar model less than a year ago. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't have gone with the fabric cover. It's worn through on one corner with light-to-moderate usage. Otherwise it's a nice machine.

16GB is enough, but the intention I had was to get a cheaper one with 8GB and smaller storage to save money, and eventually upgrade it when it seemed necessary.

I got this for $650 open box last time. Overall it is a good laptop, very fast, touch screen is very responsive.

Some negative to me are: not very bright screen, you cannot open the laptop with one hand, and battery life is about 8hrs. I'm coming from a MacBook where I'm used to 12-13 hr battery life.

I updated mine to windows 11 and have not had any problems.
12-13 hour battery life? Brightness down/off and using 1-2 applications at a time and 2-3 browser tabs? My new MBP might get 2-3 hours under the strain of real work.
