It shows how to upgrade many items.
The RAM can clearly be seen as non-soldered.
This means it is likely 16:10 and not 16:9, which can be REALLY nice.
No, it's not a "Gaming" machine.....
The 16:10 makes it really nice for productivity.....
But the 3050ti will let game a little or help with Photoshop.
And as noted, if you don't like the 250NIT screen, a better screen is only $40 more.

Wait, what? I did answer his question, lol. I didn't tell him to do a Google search, I just mentioned that I did a quick search and shared with him what I found :/
I clearly answered what he needed to know, and I was surprised as well... The 3050ti is not an upgrade from a 2070 at all, and barely a sidegrade from a 1660ti (a downgrade on games that need more than 4gb memory).
So above average to you is not good enough for a budget gaming laptop... either your nose is really high in the air or you are clueless.
At the same time, I would also want 300 Nits, but I am looking at over $1k or $1.1k and getting a RTX 3060.

The 3050ti is still an amazing GPU that can run all games right now (some at lower settings... but doable).
The 3050ti has amazing battery life... that is the best part of this laptop. So you go to a friends house and you can have many hours playing games without being plugged in.
But AMD is also more efficient then intel...
IMHO, the biggest let down is the intel CPU. Just based on that... it would have to be a pass for me.

A 3050ti is NOT better than a 2070 or even a 2070 max-q in any way . It's a total downgrade however you look at it.
Upgrading from a 1660 ti makes no sense either unless you find a really good deal or you just want a new laptop.
I don't game much anymore, but as an owner of a 580 rx 4gb, I could never ever recommend a card with less than 6gb or even 8gb to anyone. The difference btwn 4gb and 8gb in a video card is huge and very noticeable.

Comparing to the BB Asus TUF deal, this processor is slightly better, but both were hexacore, so they are in range of each other - same with the GPUs, the Ti has advantage over the 3050, but both are 4GB, so they have a limit. I'd say it comes down to form factor preference - the Asus deal was 17.3", this is 16. BB is obviously easier to work with if there is any shipping damage, etc. I'm still waiting for HP to approve return on a different model that was bought before Thanksgiving and arrived with a non-working track pad....

With 144hz? Also, you can pay more for a brighter screen.
If my 120 watt 2060 can last 2 hours while gaming, this should at least last 3 hours.
Try calling their company you can't get a human. Avoid like the plague
Also this 3050 is one of the worst performing, as HP took away a heatpipe they had on their 3060 model, also has wobbly hinges
Dell G15, nitro 5, IdeaPad gaming, Helios, gigabyte g/A5 are superior
Yea mostly true. But this is priced to the bottom of the herd. Just $250-$300 more it's possible to get one with RTX 3060 but that that price it's a totally different ball game in terms of choices.

It was clearly stated that those deals are going to shipped from China directly. Many electronics are ordered and shipped directly from China since many years ago.
