Yes...See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUDl4XvvGkk
It shows how to upgrade many items.
The RAM can clearly be seen as non-soldered.
Listed Specs are correct but TItle is wrong...It is a 16.1 not 15.6.
This means it is likely 16:10 and not 16:9, which can be REALLY nice.

No, it's not a "Gaming" machine.....
The 16:10 makes it really nice for productivity.....
But the 3050ti will let game a little or help with Photoshop.

And as noted, if you don't like the 250NIT screen, a better screen is only $40 more.
This is a better performing machine. The RTX 3050 is a lower tier than RTX 3050 ti, around 12% slower than it when both are configured at 80W TGP. Asus TUF F15 has a 60W TGP 3050, max 75W with dynamic Boost whereas this model has a 80W + 15W full powered RTX 3050 Ti. On an average, this GPU can be 15% or even more powerful than the 60W+15W RTX 3050 in TUF F15. Plus, this one also has slightly faster Processor.

Can anyone comment if a 3050 is better than a 2070, or about the same? Thanks!
This is worst than the 2070.

Should I keep that one or get this HP instead?

Pretty crappy CPU, gpu, screen, plastic build quality. This should be $500-600 at most.
Again thread crapping has started.

Have this laptop. The negative comments are from power users, I guess. Your lay user doesn't know or care what a nit is.

Saw a YouTube review about wobbly hinges—what a joke. Having owned it for several months now, not once have I taken notice of wobbly hinges. I do some gaming with no issues whatsoever. As some have said, it's not a gaming rig, but it's also a fraction of the cost. Great laptop thus far for general purpose and basic gaming (not tried AAA titles). My only disappointment has been with the speaker volume, which doesn't go high enough sometimes.
Can you comment on the build quality, is it a consumer grade to pro grade laptop?

All Gaming Laptops are Consumer Grade Laptop. You probably want to know the build quality of this Laptop. Well, this is a all plastic build but for the price, it has pretty solid build quality. Only issues reviewers mentioned that the Display has some wobble but they also mentioned that while using the laptop, that is a not an issue at all.

This deal is definitely BF grade.
There was one Asus TUF at $680 with 3050
There was one MSI GF at $840 with 3060
This deal with 3050ti falls right between the two in terms of performance and price
But honestly this year BF the gaming laptop deals are mediocre at most
I got the Asus tuf and msi gf both as one came after the other. I want to sell one and keep one.
I tried selling them on offerup because I don't want to drive 1 hr to bestbuy to return
They were brand new in sealed box.
People in offerup did not even offer the original price I paid (680+tax for 3050 or 840+tax for 3060)
You can tell how mediocre the deals are

Gaming laptops need to be plugged into A/C power so portability and screen brightness falls low on my needs. If its going to be hooked up to wires, I might as well connect my 1440p 144hz display. Ethernet, nice keyboard and wired mouse, boom; a desktop in the form of a laptop. The 250 nit display would probably only have Spotify or Discord.... in dark mode. Come on.

If that was the case why not just buy desktop…
