Just a heads up. These are "skate shoes" but not shoes built for skating.
Bare with me; there is a difference between shoes you can skate in and shoes made for skateboarding. Vans has different lines of shoes within the same models (Slip-on, Era, Sk8-Hi etc).
There is a measurable difference between these here and their "Pro" line of the same shoes. The padding, insoles, inner layers of the uppers etc are all built with skateboarding in mind and these aren't it! This is their fashion line of the shoes. Built for comfort and daily use.
That is not to say they are bad but please don't expect these to last like the actual skate version of the same shoes.
Hope that helps.
Looks like something Tony Hawk would wear at Tommy Hilfiger's funeral
Tommy Hilfiger said he didn't want skateboard people wearing his clothes.

Yeah right? How about these? These are a bit more subtle...

These are the best two first comments I've read in any thread in the history of SD.

I got these a few weeks ago in some sort of rainbow colors. I like them especially because the price was only $15 with free shipping. I ordered a pair for my wife (same style as mine), but heard back a few days later they were out of stock.

One negative was the plethora of emails they sent me after I ordered. I had to unsubscribe there were so many. They did stop.

I like the shoes at $15 - not sure I would go $25 though.

Most vans have very little padding in the soles

100% Agree with this post, i have old skate shoes i had for Years, now that i'm older i bought some of the fashion shoes from Vans very disappointed, i normally dont wear shoes out but i have gone through both pairs within 2 years. I was about to write them off for shoes until i read the above, Maybe that's my issue i'm buying the wrong shoe line?
