Not a deal so much as in stock notice if anyone has been waiting for one. BH seems the cheapest.

Barebones, the ones with pre-installed ram or SSDs are way overpriced.

what's crazy to me is there are some 299 laptops with similar specs minus the 2 thunderbolt ports… (1 on laptop) need these to come down in price….

This $429 Gateway is pretty similar, same CPU, same Iris Xe graphics, plus it has OS, RAM and SSD.

https://slickdeals.net/f/15480316-gateway-11th-gen-i5-laptop-16-gb-memory-512-gb-ssd-room-for-2nd-ssd-windows-11-ready-429?src=SiteSearch

The problem with cheap laptops is they are built like crap - the Gateway has a crappy screen, creaky plastic body, sucky trackpad etc. But certainly once you add the parts to the NUC you're at $700 and can get a decent laptop.

I'm leaning that way myself since I'm going to be traveling a lot.

+1 Intel NUC are built rock solid and can be run 24/7/365 for years.

I have 2 of the NUC8 and have been running them 24/7/365 for several years.

Only 1 issue. The fans get dirty and become very noisy after a while. It's a pain in the ass to clean.

The noise is enough of a deal breaker for me.

Other than that, these units have functioned perfectly.

Run an air purifier in the room. Your lungs and the NUC will thank you in the long run.

11th gen i5 sucks big time, might as well wait for a 12th gen NUC
It's probably a year away if it's as late as this was. Reviews are from Feb and it's just now in stock.

This is a nice CPU improvement on the 10th gen and the graphics are like 3X faster.

Does anyone know - is the Iris graphics processor in 11th gen cpu enough to play Breath of the Wild on CEMU?
My 10th gen i5 GPU isn't able to keep with the frame rates to even usable level
