Beware of comments here with misinformation and false quality allegations or about fake incompatibility issues with this ram and mobo. It's compatible and a good price (also people tend to dismiss anything based on price)
It's a modern motherboard with modern bios software capable of doing amazing things with a Ryzen chip. Look up infinity fabric. It's some insane stuff
Paired with a good amount of decent budget ram. There's only a few factories that manufactures this type of ram so the name means very little. It call comes from the same factories
What AMD's IF tech does is allows your gpu to access the pool of ram memory quickly as if it was its own. It might be another gimmick but I've been using it for 3 years with this same ram and love it.
Look here for timing tips: https://imgur.com/6ZSDax7 What you want is absolute latency of 10. Anything lower and most of us won't see any returns
As you see there's a number of combinations that get to 10 or lower. In your bios this will be easy to test until you're happy with the speed. The speed listed on the product is just a factory setting they're confident of. Going over may void warrantee etc

I know what you mean. If only all the terms being used here like "Intel ram" and "stock clockspeed" were real things that PC builders had to consider
When I was about to buy this ram it was two of the same stick not a pair and everyone was telling me the same thing. Doom and gloom and the unpaired sticks would fail etc
Glad I didn't listen. I hope people here can see through this sky is falling nonsense. It's gonna be ok
For the hundredth time you can set whatever timings you want with this mobo and ram. It's tested working. And a lower CL # is also needed or you're only posting half the equation anyway
I got it. I can see the difference in our perception. You believe that you can set whatever timings and CL you want, so the RAM spec does not matter. I believe that the final clockspeed and CL you can reach stably relates to the stock speed/latency, so the RAM spec does matter and there is a reason for lower-spec RAM.
Yes there is a fundamental difference in our understanding on RAM spec and overclocking. It is ok though.
A combo with crappy Intel ram and AMD motherboard doesn't seem very slick IMO.
Perspective:
This is a budget motherboard. It has a heat sink on the VRM, so it's an OKish entry level B550 motherboard for $90.
The Ram bundle takes it to $130. That's $40 for 32G. Yeah, it's slow. But I got a 16G kit of 3200MHz-CL16 for $59. So 32G for 66% of the cost, it's still a deal. If you have an Intel build slap it in there or flip it on EBay or Craig's list. If you can sell it for more than $40 your making out.
If you want a better motherboard or faster Ram don't buy it.
So you know. Someone did run it off the gpu memory alone
That isn't how it works. That isn't how any of this works. Just a heads up
I have had the same exact ram for a few years and run it stable at well above that. The ram alone is fine. You need the mobo and bios to run it faster and the chip to benefit from it
You are actually so misinformed that it was entertaining to read through your responses on this thread.

Nah. You can't set whatever time you want and expect it to be stable thus the "try this!" function of the bios which runs it as a test first. And there's diminishing benefits after a certain point
You, and all but a couple commentators, understand precisely zero about how this works and think some magic single stat you found means anything

Thanks for that.
Yet you, or anyone, can't post a single example of anything I've said that's wrong. Yes regale us all with your tales about a product you haven't had years of experience with! Or any for that matter
Tell me you know zero about this subject without saying you know zero about this subject
It isn't hard. It is just some aegis ram ffs lmao! No need to be scurred

No, I've just read through your last 10 responses and would rather not talk to a brick wall.
But either way, you can keep believing what you want. If it suits you, more power to you. None of this matters to most anyone on Slickdeals anyways.
Good luck being able to ever admit when you're wrong!
I smell only child. The level of coddling involved here must have been massive. Zero accountability. Must be darn nice to just spout nonsense without having to ever back it up lol
You can stop describing yourself, it's going to be alright. <3
2666MHZ at CL19 guaranteed is still "yikes!" range. But the I did just pay more than $90 for 16GB, 3200mhz at CL14... The board I'd peg in the $60 range in better times.
So, I think this is an OK deal if someone wants to make Photoshop box where quantity is more important than RAM quality.
That 2660mhz memory compared to a 3200 or 3600 is gonna be a 5-10% performance fail. Is it worth saving a few bucks over that?
I don't disagree, but the answer depends on budget. Is it a few bucks or a couple of hundred? I could easily justify this cost, plus maybe another hundred or so for a processor, and put it into my old HTPC as a quick (significant) upgrade. How much more would I be spending to get a similar setup with 3600 mhz ram?

Yeah. Thought so
All talk lol
You just keep going. I can't tell if it's a running troll or if you are really trying to say something here.
Either way it's all good, I understand the need for attention.
Have fun and Goodluck!
