Also anyone know how long this $50 discount on the 5a is going to be offered?

EDIT: I found it good through Dec 26th.

Apple is as bad - and apparently signed a secret deal with the Chinese government.

Samsung disables eSIM functionality on their flagship models (and claims it's because the carriers won't allow it - although Google and Apple seem to be able to persuade the carriers).

Motorola's only eSIM offering is the razr - and it's single sim to boot.

So who should I buy from, if I'm looking for 5G / dual sim with eSim?

Not a bad price but doesnt really seem like a big enough upgrade over my 4a 5g to warrant the pain of switching phones
Buying the same line phone after only 1 year is never worth it for me as the improvements are minimal. 2 years is a better time to upgrade unless you really hate your current phone. Google didn't really change the phone much from 4a 5G to 5a 5G.... Look at the side by side comparison. The only difference I see is an improvement to aluminum build, ip67 protection, a .14" larger screen and a 795 mAh larger battery.

Yes, I was looking at the reviews, not sure if its worth $125+ to swtich. Although the 5a will have a higher trade in value in the future, maybe it evens out.

Can anyone verify that this works on Cricket or Verizon?
Works on Verizon. I just had to refresh my phone activation on my Verizon profile to get the MMS and sms to work.

I have a OnePlus 7T Do you think its worth the upgrade? Im on Redpocket with ATT network and have heard that they are dropping 3G in 2022 and this phone might or might not have issues.

The trade in for this phone is $60 so not sure if its worth trading it in or keeping it.

I have no real issues with the 7T other than it does not have 5g

Any thoughts?

Went for it this time, thanks. $80 on the trade in for my pixel 3a is not bad at this point. Just hope i don't find the dimensions too big.

I approve this message lol. My phone was supposed to arrive on a Wed but hadn't received any update in tracking since Monday. Suddenly status changed to delayed and I only got the phone delivered Saturday. Now waiting for the Pixel 6 to get delivered via UPS (vs FedEx for 5a) so fingers crossed it actually arrives on Wed as estimated.
