If anyone is in the Royal Oak Michigan area, I'm always looking for a group to game with.
Cheers.

But the role-playing aspect (when done well) is some of the most fun I've ever had.
Note this is sort of a tutorial game rather than all the rules. Still good to get your feet wet.

I have NEVER played D&D, but have always been interested. My brothers and friends all live in separate spaces and thought we'd give it a shot (using Beyond for character sheets/rolls and roll20 for the game itself - we don't like the rolling on roll20 and think its better to just switch tabs between our Beyond character sheets for rolls, or just using dice).
Gotta say - as someone who has NEVER played before (some of the people in our party have played, but are by no means experts), we had a TON of fun and are hoping to continue our adventure (we didn't even finish Ch. 1 - came close, but not quite, after about 6 hours of playing).
This does an excellent job of getting you started (especially in conjunction with Beyond and roll20 for our virtual game) - there are some idiosyncracies and questions we still had - but in general it did a great job of getting us into the game and having some fun.
