Agreed. This isn't a deal, this has been the norm for the last 5+ years I've had the Discover IT card. It's always been $80 for $100 banana republic gc, among others.

You can only buy with accrued points. The merchants and available discount vary, but seeing 10-20% off select merchants isn't uncommon.
