No didn't require activation. It was unlocked for any carrier. I was surprised it was$599 with free Samsung wireless buds for 2-3 weeks. I almost thought I got a bad deal because it wasn't even sold out and the deal went on for so long.

Currently rocking a Galaxy S9+ and the battery is slowly taking a hit. Is this worth the upgrade or wait until the S21+ has a deal ? Or is it more and apples to orange comparison given the flip mechanism ? Thanks !

I went from 11 pro to flip 3. I dont know which has the better camera between the 12 pro and flip 3 but I don't care because I use the camera less than 1% of total phone time. If that. Super fun phone. Love how small it is in the pocket. Might try the fold next but worried about it being too big. I can't go back to a non foldable slab phone.
