I prefer corded, tired of it being dead or batteries going bad and throwing out a perfectly good clipper.

Without a user replaceable battery there's no way I would buy something like this.
But, you really want the cordless version. Wait them out, and the cordless kit comes in around this price. Best clippers in the product tier.

I took it to Afghanistan for 6 months. Haircuts were $8.50 there, and this thing still paid for itself. Getting the back of the head is tough though.
I threw away the touch up beard trimmer. The cheap scissor is something I still use daily.

Wahl is a great brand. Lasts forever if you make sure you oil it once in awhile. I use an oil specifically made for clippers but I imagine you can get creative here and used something similar.

If someone else were cutting my hair, I'd be inclined to agree. But the cord gets in the way when you're doing it all yourself.

Tried both. Stuck with corded one because cordless clogs with hair much faster.

That's what they're calling a beard trimmer. I'm guessing it's smaller, right?
So smaller hair cutting capacity, smaller battery capacity, etc.
Do the attachments fit both cutters?

The cordless remington clippers you linked is pretty good. I've had it for 3 years and shave my head every two weeks or so. The wide and curved blade hugs the head well and has 'trimmed' my haircuts in half the time. I charge the unit every 2 months and the battery is still holding strong. My only complaint is the proprietary charging plug and not the more common micro USB.

If you're looking for a good buzz cut trimmer that you can use on yourself as opposed to someone doing it for you, I got this Remington last year just as covid hit and it's worked well for me. I've saved way more than it cost me by now.

Yes, the cutting surface is wider and more curved than the more traditional kind that barbers use, and it fits the hand better for self-trimming. I literally can't tell the difference from when I went to a barber. I get buzz cuts, not quite as short as you, usually more 3 on top and 2 on the sides, but there's basically no styling involved. Just have to be careful that you don't end up looking silly.

Is this good for trimming pet hair, specifically cats? We have 2 dogs but they are short hair breeds, so never need to do that with them. However the cat we have was a stray we started taking care of a few months ago and we are sick of her out of control hair. Not just it getting everywhere but she is constantly heaving from hairballs.

IF this isn't good, can you recommend another kind that is? Need cheap as possible as I am on a fixed income. Thanks!
I used the cordless one on my dogs, it's not too loud and it cut their hair fine, one was a pomeranian and it worked fine, the only thing with cordless is doing the dogs took me a bit because I don't do it everyday, so I prefer the corded which stays consistant.

Been using this for over 3 years. It's great. The only thing I would recommend in addition is to buy the metal #0.5 and #1.5 guards to get a better fade. This kit doesn't provide those half steps.
