I bought this last year. I think it's a waste of money since it's so simple and not that similar to the original game.

We have both, both are fun, but this dice version is very different from the real game. Similar in some aspects but definitely not the same.

This is one of our favorites. We have all types of Catan expansion packs. Would highly recommend if your family and friends like Strategy games. These are like ticket to ride but a bit more complex

Love regular Catan but not a big fan of the dice version...very different game, and feels like you should have more moves. I would skip it at any price.

I recommend Qwixx for a good quick dice game, goes on sale pretty often for around this price

Who are you playing with? Regular Catan is about a 30 minute game which can stretch to an hour. However the Seafarers expansion makes it an hour minimum. Cities and Knights is a great expansion but turns Catan into a 3 hour game. I love all three versions. I also have the traders and barbarians expansion but yet to try those scenarios.
