As far as the phone goes - S21 is what they call a "pandemic upgrade" or "pandemic version". it is really watered down version of the supposedly premium and once great device. I have one that my company provided me couple of months ago when my S10+ fell face down on the tile floor.

The phone feel extremely cheaply made with plastic back. The battery was very bad from the beginning and cannot last more than 5-6 hours. The screen is flat, just like on the cheap A series Samsung phones. The glass is very low quality. I work from home, so the phone rarely leaves my pocket but I already have 1/4" scratch on the glass (for comparison S10+ glass was perfect after 3 years of use and abuse and taking it to work daily). Very bad gremlins with network receivers: it is losing the connection to Verizon network so I have to periodically enable/disable Aeroplane mode to reconnect).

Like I said - while this is considered the latest device it certainely is not among the greatest. From what I gathered, the only S21 Ultra retained some "premium" qualities but definitely not the bottom of the barrel S21.

OnePlus 8 at $300 is a tough sell now because it was launched in April 2020 and it came with Android 10. $250 is more reasonable. It won't get many more updates in the future. Samsung phones get a ton of updates. Even the cheap budget phones are getting 4 years of updates. OnePlus Nord line is only 1 system update which is understandable to me but tough to compete with Samsung and Apple updates. Samsung have surpassed Pixel with updates in my opinion as Pixel A line gets 3 years. I got a t-mobile samsung A71 5G unlocked phone and I get a ton of updates. I am shocked how good it is with the updates. I don't even use t-mobile carrier.... I say that as I am more of a Pixel fan too.

OnePlus has actually declined when it comes to updates now.

"OnePlus used to be one of the best when it came to software updates, now you've got updates arriving a year late."

Why do people post with opinions...not fact. On the One Plus 8 and up models, One Plus has committed to three major system updates....Since Android 11 is an update, Android 12 and 13 should be supported. Also One Plus has committed to four years of security updates.

$499 for upgrade. Discount is only showing for gray color one i think. It is showing $799 for blue one at least. Tempted to get this instead of iPhone 13 max pro. saves lot of money. But everyone in family is with Iphone.

Blue (Navy) is showing up at $799 because it is the S21 Ultra.

Don't know how the S21 can be compared to the iP13 Max. . . other than the price difference

Others have mentioned there is trade in option after signing in to account and getting to cart. . .though they mentioned low ball trade in values.

Can anyone walk us through the process of canceling the service, please?
BB just gave me the Phone unopened and the Sim, the rep told me you know what to do to activate it. Tmobile didn't send an email or anything, so I don't even know the number for the phone.

Sure. They upgraded their support in July 2021 after many complaints for OnePlus 8 but OnePlus 8 with Android 10 came out little before when Android 11 would come out. Android 12 came out October 2021. The problem is they started the phone at the end of a system life cycle and their system update is coming up very late.... On top of that their OS has been an absolutely mess. Fast reliable updates are a thing of the past. The complaints about OnePlus updates isn't just about their midrange and budget line updates.

Yay! More waiting for a buggy late OS. OnePlus had declined with their updates and Samsung has improved.

[QUOTE=bluekiwi;152158747]If the phone is shipped, do they put a sim card in the phone?

That is my question as well - if they ship the phone, do they activate it with the sim before sending it?

Thanks for the input.

People who are getting the error "Please try again" , do you have sprint account? I was told that it was because I had a sprint account and cannot have both sprint and T-Mobile
