Because it's worthless then. Unless you only play offline modes. My friends and I are always on the latest versions. I know I should wait until November when it's cheaper but I get it on day 1.

It's a good question. My favorite type of games are coop. Like ghost recon wildlands, breakpoint, remnant, etc.

There's a lot of modes where you can play with your friends against others, but PvP not PvE. There's ways to play with your friends vs the AI, but it's not really a mainstay. Just exhibition matches and things like that. Besides the AI is bad or cheats. No in between. Some people can tweak it for a better experience but totally take multiplayer out of the equation in adjusting sliders.

I play a lot of 5v5 with four friends. Mostly in the REC center, rarely ProAm

Anyway if you want to play a pick up with a friend once in a blue, just buy two copies of an old version. Not too old because connection to servers are taken down.
