I did buy Fold 3 couple months ago and I ended up selling it and I get the ultra instead.
1- the phone is too narrow when it's folded so you have to unfold it for better experience.
2- as a someone who uses social media apps it's not easy to pull out your phone and take snapchat or instagram pic right a way.
3- almost all cases with Spen are bulk and huge so I ended up leaving the SPen which is really not good.
4- watching youtube videos not great because of the Screen ratio. Basically it's even smaller than regular phones.
5- battery is really bad, Will die before the end of the day.
6- some apps look bad even if you adjust resolution and the screen ratio, for example Facebook app looks really ugly.

With all that being said I still recommend this phone if you don't mind those issues this ua really a good price.

Has anyone had success with Samsung price matching this? If you can get them to do it you will get free galaxy buds and a leather case for it. I tried yesterday evening and was shot down when I tried to trade in my Note 20 Ultra. I'll try again today and see. If they accept the trade my total cost will be $174.99 for the phone that including $830.00 in trade credit. They will price match it but not with a trade. Just need to find the correct chat agent.

Your plan doesn't get upgraded. You just need a line on your account to be device upgrade eligible.
Call TMobile, since you are grandfathered in, they are able to upgrade you to their Magenta plan with 20% off as long as you do auto pay (depends on the rep.) The 20% stays with you as long as you keep the plan active. Good luck!

So, we would have to upgrade our line? Also, I am not seeing the Tmobile $899 deal. I would never want to upgrade my grandfathered simple choice plan to anything else for a phone upgrade tbh.

I really want this, but the battery life is just telling me to hold off. My s21 ultra lasts a long time but phone arena says it's about half my ultra....
All of us sporting s21 ultra, especially with 512gb and 16gb RAM would be insane to trade in our phones for a mere $575 and accept a huge downgrade in my mind. Show me one thing better on the fold vs s21 other that it's a bigger screen, albeit inferior compared to s21 especially that it can develop a crease....shitty cameras, shitty battery life. Just a novelty device because it folds...

That logic can be applied to anything, why buy any other car than a cheap used Corolla if it does the same thing as a Tesla? It's not reality, someone will grab this phone and wether it's real or not will get more productive or enjoy their tech more, can't have that same effect with a S5 haha
I agree with that, maybe its just the way I think.. LOL I do actually have an old Honda Accord as a daily driver with 200+ thousand miles that I still put thousands of miles on and travel across the country in. My note9 doesn't really make me productive at all to be honest. It sends texts, does video chat, and browses very small mobile based websites. If I want to do something productive I use my desktop, which is an old 4790k, and do something instantly. The nice thing is I don't really have to pay a lot for things and if something pops up that I really want, I can buy it.

This also proves that this site isn't really full of cheap skates, its just people who like buying stuff, and want to buy more stuff with less money. The reality of the situation though is if you truly want to save money, you should only buy what you truly need, and still buy it on sale.

I contacted them but they told me that they don't price match.
Let me know if you get success… Good Luck…

I just tried and they told me to order the device and call back to have it PM. I'll see what happens. If they don't PM, I'll cancel my order.

I'm not super rich, but my family's income covers what we "truly need" about 10X over. At some point, you have to do something with your money other than having the most basic food and accommodations. I'm here on SD, and I'm known as cheap to many people, including my wife, but come on. Live a little.

I have no plans to buy Z Fold 3 at the moment, although it's a fantastic deal! But man, the comments I see here are silly. Someone always going to prove why his/her $200 TCL or Nokia is better and why you should invest your money. Let me ask, why do you invest money and what do you do with your money? GTFO!

Exactly this! I am not rich or consider myself wealthy. But I also realize that I am not going to take it with me. If it makes sense and fits the budget, why not?

Was anyone able to replicate this deal recently? Wondering if I need to go into the store for this?
