I did buy Fold 3 couple months ago and I ended up selling it and I get the ultra instead.
1- the phone is too narrow when it's folded so you have to unfold it for better experience.
2- as a someone who uses social media apps it's not easy to pull out your phone and take snapchat or instagram pic right a way.
3- almost all cases with Spen are bulk and huge so I ended up leaving the SPen which is really not good.
4- watching youtube videos not great because of the Screen ratio. Basically it's even smaller than regular phones.
5- battery is really bad, Will die before the end of the day.
6- some apps look bad even if you adjust resolution and the screen ratio, for example Facebook app looks really ugly.

With all that being said I still recommend this phone if you don't mind those issues this ua really a good price.

Since no one has answered definitively,

I called T-Mobile, and canceled within 24 hours. Just said I was trying out T-Mobile and unfortunately don't have good enough coverage.

I will get a bill, prorated, but it will be in 30 days.
Great, thanks for the info! How did you get your account details? Did you receive them at pickup time or did you go through the BB mobile setup in order to get them?

1. Call T-mobile customer care.
2. Choose the option for a new connection (if you are new to T mobile)
3. Request them to locate your new account using your SSN.
4. Ask them for your account number and new phone number. This team may not cancel your connection and may transfer you to customer care. Or disconnect and goto to step 5.
5. Call T mobile customer care and enter the phone number and authenticate with your PIN.
6. Choose to call you back. If you can hold for an hour, you can stay on the phone.
7. When you connect to the CSR request for the cancellation. You can give many reasons.

I tried to get this info a few days ago, but I could not get it, so posting these steps may be helpful for novice.

wasted over 1 hr today at bestbuy. the employee guy wouldnt give me the 450$ credit trade in because he said that it doesnt stack with the already 800$ off. the trade in value would have only been 225$. thats why i hate dealing with people.

How warranted is the reviews on the hinge and screen folding issues? This kind of makes me scared of buying this phone. Good deal never-the-less for a really expensive phone.
I've had the phone (512) for about a month now and love it! I haven't experienced any issues folding it nor hinge issues.

We're you able to use it on a different carrier right after? Or did you use it on a t mobile plan once you cancelled the new account

I have tried many phones (Fold 3, pixel 6, LG velvet) and went back to my 2 years old Note 10+.
Yeah, love my Note 10+ and will most likely keep it till the wheels fall off. Lol. The only thing I don't love about it is the curved screen, but other than that, it's perfect. 12GB RAM, and 256GB standard internal memory is great, and I got it for $500 and change from an Amazon Warehouse deal a couple of years ago (like new condition, but was practically new).

So, we would have to upgrade our line? Also, I am not seeing the Tmobile $899 deal. I would never want to upgrade my grandfathered simple choice plan to anything else for a phone upgrade tbh.

Ugh, just got the flip 10 days ago for 599 including buds. Asking myself if I wanna burn 400 lol. Daily is a iPhone 13 pro, this would be my play phone, 999 is TEMPTING
I'm in the same situation, I need a Fold 2 or Fold 3 as a secondary phone for reading manga on the go. I can't read manga on a tiny 6.7" screen. I'm trying to convince myself not to buy this and wait a little longer, it might drop another $300.
