The kiddos love these. And I love them because they aren't like leggos so if they leave them laying around and I end up stepping on one, I won't end up killing myself from all the pain.

I've done extensive research (googling) reviews about magna-tile type toy brands. THis one is new so not covered in a lot of those comparisons but there are quite a few reviews that say the plastic is lighter and the magnets are weaker. Magnet strength is the key here and if you never got one of the stronger brands you'd probably not notice the difference.

My suggestion is if magnet strength is important to you and you don't want to pay the full price of the Magna-tile brand go for "Playmags". They are identical in strength to Magna tiles and a sturdy good quality plastic as well as being a chunk cheaper. If strength isn't that big a deal to you for this type of toy go for something like this that's a bit cheaper.

Update: I returned the Tytan tiles (very weak) and ordered Playmags instead. The Playmags are waaaay stronger and much more fun to play with. Don't bother with these Tytans.

Which magnetic tiles are actually strong? I purchased these tytan brand from sams club and the magnets are really weak.you can't build very high before it topples over. Very frustrating for a toddler. Looking for some that will actually hold together.
