I purchased an open-box excellent during the last sale because it was $30 cheaper and it shipped to me with some screen damage. I contacted customer service and they had me bring it in store and exchanged it for a new one without charging me extra. It was a good way to save a little extra. I also had purchased the 4 year protection which was also discounted due to it being open box and this transferred to the new monitor.

These days basically yes, gysnc compatible is virtually the same as gsync. Keep in mind you must have a 10 series card or newer. 9 series and before do not support "gsync compatible"

Paypal Bestbuy deal is YMMV. I don't see it in my Paypal Deals. Search for Bestbuy and it shows other deals, not the $25 off.
