Get the Vetroo V5 with an extra heat pipe and ARGB fan for $5 more and don't waste your time with stamps and envelopes for a rebate that might never come.

I'm just gonna say this one thing about Cooler Master and their rebates. Of course, this is just one persons experience and may vary... With that said:

I ordered a similar deal from NewEgg back in 10/03/21. I submitted the rebate form soon after, like at the latest 10/07. I am still in "We have received your submission and it is being processed" state of the process. It has been in this state for over a month.

To add icing to the cake, the Hyper 212 I ordered (New) came with a missing screw. The T-shaped screw that is used to screw down the cooler to AMD fitting. I've been going through their customer support/RMA for the past month with no reply from them (since their initial reply) for almost 3 weeks. I can't even use the cooler at the moment and stuck using stock cooler that comes with AMD chip.

So... if you expect this to be a "deal", then lower your expectations. I've had great experience with Cooler Master's *products*, but their customer service is on par with Newegg. This is the first bad experience I had with their product, and that's because it's a missing part.

The sale without the rebate should be your deciding factor of whether or not it's a deal. Don't think having the rebate is what makes this a deal because you will be disappointed. Again... great product but absolute garbage customer service and customer support system in general.

Correction*: A slicker pointed out the duration of the rebate, which seems to be different by weeks (i.e. Amazon vs Newegg currently for same product). Anyways, taking that into account, I guess I jumped the gun on dissing their rebate going into my 10th week mark. Apparently I need to give them 4 more weeks at most, so... I can't confirm anything, but couple people here say they never had issues with their rebate. It's just $20, so I guess it's not bad waiting 3-5 months.

I believe that on the rebate for mis a link to submit the rebate digitally, without having to properly mail anything in. Tempted to pick this up for an i5-4690k currently running a stock cooler.

EDIT: turns out you still have to mail in some paperwork, the online form is only for tracking the rebate.

Off of the rebate form, but someone on Reddit pointed out that they've done this rebate in the past, and that link is only to track it digitally, so I believe you still have to properly mail in the rebate.

I was skeptical at first, but i agree. The vetroo v5 is quite good at keeping thermals under control for the price. Or there are some good offerings from ID cooling: I went with the se-224-xt b for a ryzen 5600x build... Oddly enough, the heatpipes line up with the Chiplet and provide performance that's sort of baffling for the cost. Several review sites verify this.

CM has to revamp this aging product to at least 6 cooling heat pipes, instead of just 4

It's difficult to answer. I immediately upgraded the fan to two arctic p12 pwm fans. The other variables are case size and cooling, preference of fan speed optimization (ie, noise, performance, or blend), gpu tdp and cooling, along with accuracy of motherboard reporting software. Having said that, I am using a Coolermaster N200 case with 5 Arctic p12 pwm fans-- 2 on bottom as intake, 1 on top as exhaust, and 2 on the cpu tower cooler all set to prioritize quiet operation-- coupled with an evga rtx 3070, seasonic focus atx power supply with a 3d printed adapter....fwiw, while running prime95 in blended all-thread torture test (and with several applications open), I am maxing out around 67 degrees C
