If you don't want to spend $400, that's up to you but there are people that purchased this product and recommends it despite the price. I was also highly skeptical but I splurged for the hairdryer as a gift and my wife and daughters loves it. They think it dries their hair faster and make their hair smoother. Time saved and less trips to the salon is also a consideration since they spend $$$ there as well. Anyways, as I get older, I learned the value of, "Buy less but better quality."
I now use it as much as her. Thing is amazing. If ours were to break, I would happily pay full price for another one.
This thing is in another dimension compared to the $20-$40 junk hair dryers we used to have. Is it 10x to 20x better? Maybe not, but there is nothing else like it.

It kept showing out of stock in NY for me, but after 10-15 minutes I was able to place an order for store pickup.
To be honest, I was kind of nervous about how my wife would react to me spending $400 on a hair dryer, no matter how nice it was. But $320 sounds a lot better.
