Ads anywhere from 20-90 sec every 20 minutes.
I'm a day-one to current subscriber, and one family member is clinging to the channel for dear life.
The problem I have with it is "nonfiction" . . . anything from about 1 year before their launch of D+ isn't bad, but the credibility on ANYTHING that you can't check in a book right away is super sketchy.
Good Example:
Josh Gates multi-segment chasing down "bigfoot", "yeti" etc - very cool programming. They basically found out that the Tibetan Brown Bear is NOT extinct, which I have to say is pretty cool.
Bad Example:
There's a lot of other things that have no historical basis - take one of their home-screen big launches "demon in the whitehouse" -- there's no story there.
A lot of the "real" things like Gold Rush or one of the fishing ones (can't remember) has the producers telling people to stage fights etc.
--------
Anything with Zak (sackville) Bagans is completely made up. They don't even give you credible "legends" for entertainment value.
Their back-catalog is decent, but once you chew through most of that, the current stuff has very little variations in the weekly programing.

I watch Gold Rush episodes, start to finish in 45 minutes or less. The episodes change seamlessly. I am seriously thinking of dropping YTTV one day but my wife needs her daily dose of news propaganda so I'm stuck. Talking about YTTV, they reached a deal with Disney and reinstated their offerings. WTF, I wanted to save 15 bucks a month. I don't watch their BS. I just hope that D+ stays around for a long time.
Also, without commercials, I fall asleep quicker at night watching the tube.
Merry Christmas to all.
Most new episodes of shows are put up to watch at 6am. Just like other services though. but on a way it's better than live stream
Too bad the Chase deal expires 12/31 and is only good one time $3.50 max.
