It says:
For Customers with non-Apple devices: TracFone will provide an unlocking code to customers who request unlocking, provided they meet the following conditions:
If the TracFone device was activated with TracFone service prior to November 23, 2021, then the device must have been active on TracFone Service for no fewer than 12 months with Service Plans redeemed in no fewer than 12 months, and not have had their telephone number recycled or ported.
********* If the TracFone device was activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, then at least 60 days must have elapsed since the device was activated *********

Dont get it. If you purchased said package and knew of the unlocking requirement, and now they change it for new packages why would you be upset, fomo? Welcome to life. For all we know the new packages won't subsidize the devices as heavily as before. It's not like there is a magic genie, you have to pay for the device somehow.
* If this policy means a brand new phone never ever activated phone, I guess it will rule my iPhone out and it won't matter if I deactivate it and reactivate it from my account after the Nov 23rd date.
* Used phone bought online with new account user with new service (Verizon sim) over 2 months? No good to unlock? Probably still need 12 months.
I reactivated a previously used (& deactivated) android on 11/30.
I carried over service & also added 90 days just to use some rewards so hopefully it's OK.

Right now, the TracFone app is showing me a 10k reward bonus for a new line added. The deal is to 12/31.... Usually 7k.

Your deactivated phone shows at bottom of account online until you remove it, just click reactivate & add minutes or choose to keep number, done it several times (usually when switching between BYOP sims & locked TF).

I don't get why you all think these rewards really add up to anything. You have to have alot of transactions going on for it to be beneficial or else it is what has been going on with my account forever. Not giving me all my rewards and certainly ever never giving my bonus code minutes!

They can't think for themselves.
I've added several lines (2 accts) when they were cheap. Had enough rewards to get free iphone SE & Galaxy A20. Still have some available for more service time. Been a good deal for me even without using referrals.

If someone is talking on the phone for 700 minutes, texting 1000 times and using 4GB of data per month, tracfone isn't going to be the best value with the kyop and rewards but if someone is a lighter user and knows how to use the rewards, it is a great value. I use both red pocket and tracfone as they seem to be the most bang for the buck services.
