Some people said you can't drop these, you probably can't. Granted, the max are 25lb, so why would you need to?

I'd say my impression on durability is 4 out of 5, seems solid, but not like they feel like they'll last a lifetime. I think it's just about use - how in the world could these ever breakdown if you just used them for their intended purpose? I can't imagine a scenario where I'd have to replace these over the next 5 years or buy other dumbbells in this size range.

For me, I really like that I didn't pay more $ for a higher weight range, because I don't want a 5lb-50lb set. I just want this for ancillary workouts to my main lifts. The tradeoff in this product is it's max 25lb, not that it's low build quality, and that's the trade I wanted to make.

Wow, your statement's so condescending that, if you don't recognize your thinking for what it is, I actually have sympathy for you. ANY person's workout is his or her own. You do yours, let other "adult males" do theirs.

EDIT: Btw, TU for the deal and repped. This is a great price for what you get. I also work out with a pair of Bowflex 552 dumbbells, but I think I might pick up these CAPs as well. The 552 plates are so dang big; the CAP might be good for high-rep burner sets.

There are rules they have to follow. You get one price match. If the price goes down again, your only option is to return and buy again. When Walmart offered a % discount for store pickup Amazon kept price matching them. Walmart would match Amazon for delivery and offer the % discount for pickup. That was a crazy loop that a lot of us had to try and time. I ended up having to return something 4 times after price matches before they stopped cutting each other's throats.

Yeah, they told me I needed to make a new purchase and return the other one. So extremely wasteful.

I had the person on chat escalate it, and was given a "one time price adjustment".

It's insane that they would rather pay for the shipping both ways rather than give a simple price adjustment to the current price during the return period.

Yeah, this is like the 14th thing that dropped in price. Thank you OP! I have now decided I don't want to be a part of this BS. Walmart here comes the set of weights that I made my UPS guy carry! Also, sorry UPS dude. Walmart is just a bag of dicx.

When I was chatting, I went straight to the point. Simply asked, to avoid return/reorder hassle for me and shipping cost for Walmart, can he do price adjustment instead? Rep checked with someone and immediately refunded the difference.

May be try different rep this time for luck.
