It's up to you whether you think this is a good price or not. For me, it's worth it because I haven't been upgrading my PC for a few years now, but I would still love to play graphically demanding games. So I'm spending a couple more bucks here instead of $500+ to upgrade my entire system. Easy choice to make.

On the other hand, Sekiro is also on sale at $30 at Stadia, the exact same price on Steam. Not sure why it's not listed here, but I might buy that game for the same reason.
Ownership concerns aside, I'm now playing RDR2 in 4K & my total costs were $22 (controller+Chromecast Ultra) + $20 (RDR2 minus $10 coupon). To accomplish this using gaming PC, or console I would have to front a hell of a lot more money. I've been really pleased with the experience! Just my two cents as a casual gamer
Not sure why everyone is worrying about losing their games if stadia goes bust. Unless you are buying a lot of full priced games, the fact that stadia base is free and we get generous pro trials, buying the games is like paying for the depreciation of a game console already seems worth it. Not to mention that renting a machine with similar spec off any cloud provider would easily cost more the most games you pay for after a month or two.

If people stop thinking about ownership of console and games but more like subscription or even movie rental, playing games on stadia is incredibly cheap if you can manage the limitations of streaming in general.

Just purchased two controllers from that $22 deal, any co-op games anyone would recommend? I've exhausted them on the Switch already.

The same thing if MS/Sony decide to shut down xbox/ps.
Fwiw, the TOS mentions refunds and all.

Google's got a "bad faith" impression cause they closed a ton of free services, but no one remembers MS does the same.

The someplace else might also need you to buy >$300 h/w to play the games. And if you already have the h/w then what are you doing in this thread Smilie

Yea but the thing with xbox and playstation. If you buy something digitally, you're still able to download and play the games you bought, even if the service shuts down. So technically you own it.

I did not know google's TOS states, they issue refunds for purchases if the service ever shuts down. So thats good to know.

In the past on Google play. I've purchased some apps that were later removed totally from play store. Google refunded me the purchase. 6 months after the apps were no longer available. Maybe they will do the same with stadia, if stadia ever goes under.

I mean this assumes it's not one of the games tied to always online, some of which have been single player games.

People have more faith that Sony/MS will still be in the gaming business for the foreseeable future and if they leave you will have time to download all your games to an external drive. A couple more years and if google is still in this and actually gets new games or at least stops overcharging for old ones they could have something.

These prices aren't good at all. I paid the same or less than these prices for a bunch of these games over the summer.

Stadia matches the digital price offered by Xbox & PS. There are many websites that track game prices. If you're all digital like I am, these prices are just as good as the competitors. Assassin's Creed III has never gone lower than $15.99 on Xbox.

Is it true that google gives another controller if you purchase above 25.99?
