as for the actual security of the safe... these cannon safes are only marginally better than the "cabinets" that are similar to a highschool locker. dont be overly confident with them. any competent robber will get the thing open quickly with a pry bar or grinder.. that said... imo most people dont need to buy a $2k safe. instead... pair it with a cheap security system. any thief can break into a safe if they have enough time. cut the time part out of the scenario.
most importantly... be smart. dont advertise that you have guns(or whatever it is that you have in this safe)... dont put the safe right in front of a window or by the front door. keep it hidden. make a thief find it. put it in the back of a closet. and absolutely, dont put it somewhere that someone like the cable guy will see it. or anyone that comes into your house that you dont know. or even people you do know.
