You will not be able to play online or connect to Xbox Live form Vietnam as it's not a supported country.
You can play disc games offline but playing games where online is required, online multiplayer, digital purchases and redeeming codes will not work from that country.

Is there anyway to take advantage of this deal in anticipation of buying an Xbox Series X? Still can't find one but want to get in on this deal.

My concern is that they'll end the $1 conversion rules or somehow close this turkey loophole. Can I somehow redeem these on an account, do the conversion, but not have it actually activate? Or immediately pause my account?

To get the game pass ultimate 1 to 1, it says to do it on the US side (No VPN). I just want to confirm that because I don't want to blow it now after getting such a great deal on gold. Smilie

Buy gold on site (no VPN needed), Use VPN to redeem these gold keys. Disconnect VPN, now you back on US and convert to Ultimate.

Can someone tell me if I just screwed this up. Not this exact deal but I know you people will know. I just got him live so he can play with his friends for a year. But gamepass ultimate came with the console. Now I put that code in and while we had Live until Dec 2022 it is Ultimate until May 2021. Live is now expired. Did I screw us for the last 5 months of 2022 so he can't play with his friends online?

Thanks! I did the conversion from XBL to game pass ultimate for $1 and even though I typically only play a few games I already own - I must say I have really enjoyed GPU! I have found a lot of GPU games that I have enjoyed and look forward each month to see what new games they rotate into the choices. Just purchased a better pc video card so I should also be able to play some of these games on PC as well. Price for GPU on amazon is $45/3mo so nice little savings on direct conversion if u already have GPU but huge savings if you do the steps and convert 3 yrs prepaid XBL to GPU!!

When I go to upgrade to Game Pass Ultimate it's giving me an error saying my subscription is the wrong region. I was off VPN. But if I stay on VPN i go through the Turkish site billing me and will not go through with a US billing address. Anyone having this issue?
