No locking pin for those who are after additional safety.

Locking pins are good. However, you really need to pay attention at the welding. I've bought two jack stands from HF and there was a 1/2 missing in welding (they were recalled a year later), further more, make sure they also don't wobble when flat on all fours. As soon as I noticed this I bought some $150 stands instead. There's certain things to cheap out on, and these are not one of them. Your life is worth more than $20

What did you buy? I've never trusted these with the cast legs, they're brittle and I worry they will crack and break.

They also have some other models that are cheaper. Though I found this design very sturdy and well made. Maybe a little overkill, but it's better than being actually killed lol

So true, I thought of buying these but not going to. If I get seriously hurt my hospital co-pay alone covers the cost of this linked jack stand.

But I'm on slickdeals for a reason... I'll keep waiting (till end of winter) for a good deal.

If you're only lifting something pretty light like a sedan or smaller suv, these are more than adequate.
