I use these to locate shorts on circuit boards. They make short work of it, pun intended.

Checking for cold/hot spots in your home to see if the insulation is doing the job. That or ghost adventures.

Thanks for posting. Would be a killer deal if it was USB-C, but I do see that they are including a USB-C adapter with it. Would be cumbersome to use though...

Saw this on their site before and came here to look at past history. Unfortunately I'm an iPhone user so not the best option for me but went ahead and ordered anyways with the hopes of using it with a Kindle Fire Tablet.
fwiw: i bought this at $200 when B&H put it on their daily deal to use with my Fire 7 (2019). After I rooted the tablet and installed LineageOS, I was able to use a FLIR app alternative and get the sensor working. Could never get the official FLIR app to work and the functionality was spotty though. Haven't experimented that much more.

I have the seek, first in micro usb for my note 4 and usb c for my tab a, and note 9. I've used it to check insulation, how much heat was leaking, which outlets needed insulating. I found a blockage in my old Hondas radiator. Used it to check a battery heater was working on a generator. Found a short on a Tablet charging port. Just about infinity uses

I was just looking at the therml cameras during the day. Not perfect with the micro USB connector but I think I can live with it won't be using it regularly. Grabbed one. Thanks OP.
PS, are there USB C male to micro USB female data cables? Didn't find such at Amazon.
Website stated it comes with an adapter

Had the LT version. Was aware of the battery issue and charging about once a week. Battery still goes back. Need to open it up now to replace battery. Kind of hassle. But thermal imaging was cool while it was working.

I bought this in a past deal. Using the usb-c adapter works fine. Certainly not worth paying extra for the USB c version. The week after I got it I used it to identify a slow water leak from my upstairs bathroom. It paid for itself very quickly as I was able to avoid costly water damage. Also useful in winter to see where your heat is leaking.

I was in market recently, and figured FLIR is way over priced, bought one from Infiray (they are one of the few make their own sensors) which has 256*192 resolution for around the same price of FLIR pro version. FLIR's app features some imaging enhancement that might help a bit for the image quality but you wont find cheap ones with usb-c.
