I use these to locate shorts on circuit boards. They make short work of it, pun intended.

Checking for cold/hot spots in your home to see if the insulation is doing the job. That or ghost adventures.

Thanks for posting. Would be a killer deal if it was USB-C, but I do see that they are including a USB-C adapter with it. Would be cumbersome to use though...

So I looked through the Q&A on the B&H Photo product page and see conflicting answers to this question. I'd like to use this with an iPhone. Obviously I'll need a micro to lightning cable adapter - but at this point everyone is using some kind of adapter since it's micro USB instead of USB-C. Has anyone actually used this combo though? Should I be aware of any other issues that may crop up when used with an iPhone?

Can anyone comment on the stability and use with the adapter? I'd prefer not to have to build some kind of housing...

I was just looking at the therml cameras during the day. Not perfect with the micro USB connector but I think I can live with it won't be using it regularly. Grabbed one. Thanks OP.
PS, are there USB C male to micro USB female data cables? Didn't find such at Amazon.
You'll need to go from female Micro to male C, then female C to male C, that I know. Those 2 pieces are in Amazon.

Where did you get yours? The cheapest smart phone IR camera from Infiray is $749 from Amazon, unless you take your chance with eBay seller. Which still costs way more than $200.
Go for aliexpress, they have official store there.

Look at Mr High Tech here, not having to jiggle the receiver cradle to get the operator's attention so she could connect him to an exchange and number manually.

Shucks like others said I'd be all over it if it was type c. Micro is way out-dated.
Way more phones have micro than type c. In for one! Samsung S10 5G.

Are there any big box retailers that rent out equipment like this? I feel like it would be a one time use in this apartment I'm renting to show the landlord that there are cold drafts everywhere.

Thanks OP, in for one with my Costco Visa, just in case the battery is a bust. Looks like replacement batts are available though, and easy enough to install.

Just put a micro USB adapter on the end of a USB cable
