I love how accurate the air tags are but there are some functions that are missing that wont make me switch to them just yet. Bought 1 couple months ago and compared to the tile it is more accurate and responsive. Somethings I wish they would improve on would be a little louder speaker because i tested them while inside a bag and had to be within 3 feet to hear it. Another function would be the ability to ring your phone with the Air tags. Last function would be to share the air tag with family member on the same family account. With Tile I can ring my wife's tile when I need to find something of hers.

You can let them wear collars and put the airtag inside. Applause

Only if it's a one-person household, because only one person can track the dog, and if the person it's registered to goes on a trip somewhere, the dog will start beeping constantly. There needs to be a way to share an AirTag.

Ppl are out here skeptical about the government planting chips in them. Guess what? they don't have to they'll just track you with the own shit you're buying yourself lol (phone, tablet, AirTags etc)
What are you doing that u don't want to be tracked? Why are you posting this online then? If they want to find you ....they will find you.

That's not true. User replaceable, non-proprietary battery.

That is con for me. I just bought this and I also have the Samsung smarttag and tile pro 2020/2022. I like how the tile can be used with ios, Samsung and other Android, shared and used with multiple phones.

I was wondering whether the airtag will start beeping like crazy if my bike is in the garage and out of bluetooth range. A guy on YouTube said it wouldn't beep because it needs to be moved. I guess it wouldn't beep because it is at my home. If I leave my home for so many hours without my bike and the airtag, will it waste the battery and beep like crazy? I would hate to see it waste battery life because of unnecessary beeping.

They can disable their phone being used to track it but not the air tag itself. Another Apple device would pick it up.

I keep mine in my luggage and it's not with me all the time. My spouse is currently in a different state with one of my air tags in their bag and it's not beeping. Been gone for a week. Just checked with them to make sure that it wasn't.
It will unless she has a device logged into the same iCloud that the AirTag is associated with. It also has to "move". that's the frustrating thing is it's random. we didn't have an issue a few times we left our dog, but now it's even as little as three hours.

The AirTag is only on my devices with me, I am in a full Mac ecosystem for work while they're totally on Android (a lot of debate goes on at home Smilie) We've been using them like this for months with the travel back and forth. Maybe it's a setting you can adjust? I didn't make any adjustments on mine, just set up quickly to pop in the luggage the first time and never changed.

EDIT to add: Did some quick research and maybe it's because I haven't updated the software?
