My Amp is in my house and I ran speaker cable down to my pool. even at 200' of wire the system does its job. And yes it connects to whatever streaming service you use. I put an old alexa down by the pool and made the sonos amp the audio so I can just say "Alexa, play music and we have sound down by the pool.
Sonos amp retails at $700 on it's own.

Can I play music via Bluetooth?
The Sonos Amp should be AirPlay 2 compatible. So, not exactly.

Possible to select 2 speakers at a time or do all 4 need to play?
Quote from tatnai :
If you want two separate zones you need two separate amps
If you want two different sources to play you need two different amps. You can have multiple zones on the same source controlled with something like a wall volume plate.

I have two amps, and the inside one powers six in ceiling speakers. with 3x wall plates (so 3 zones but they all play the same thing) but it requires physical control of the wall plates, and that puts some people off.

long and short of it, the amps are powerful and can power a ton. If you have a small room, it makes more sense to get a five or speaker bar from sonos.

To me a zone is something that can play different music at the same time as other zones, and controlled through the Sonos app. What you are discussing is a manual shut off of select speakers within a zone; I don't think most people would count that as two separate zones on Sonos.

The video on Best Buy's website states this is a Best Buy exclusive.
Just chatted with Sonos customer service. The AMP is the exact same amp available on the Sonos website for $699 per the rep I spoke to:

"The Sonos Amp that best buy offers is the same as the Sonos Amp that we have on our Sonos Website."

The speaker difference is that these Sonance speakers have a frequency response of :

Minimum Frequency Response
65 hertz
Maximum Frequency Response
30 kilohertz

The Outdoor Speakers by Sonos and Sonance available on the Sonos website have a frequency response of:

Minimum Frequency Response
55 hertz
Maximum Frequency Response
20 kilohertz

Someone with way more speaker knowledge than me can chime-in about whether that frequency response difference is worth $778.02 - which is the difference between this set and what Sonos sells on their website. I'm guessing it won't matter much for outdoor speakers.

In case anyone cares, these Sonance speakers appear to be identical to the ones that Sonos rebrands as their Architectural series Outdoor speakers and sell for $879/pair without an Amp to power them. I've got a pair mounted to my eves above my back deck and they're plenty of speaker to entertain my back yard and be a nuisance to my neighbors if I wanted to. Sound quality is excellent.

No. The amp is the same. The speakers are not. See above.

Excuse me, does this amp allow to connect to any kind of bookshelf speaker or floor speaker we have?
Yes to some extend. It depends on the speakers that you want to use with it. Some floor speakers are more power hunger. For normal usage, I think you will have no problem since the AMP is quite powerful.

No. You can airplay if you have Apple device. All steaming is done from WiFi

I have these for my outdoor patio ( Klipsch kho-7 )...best bang for your buck imo. I just have them hooked up to a mini $80 fosi receiver/amp (also keep that outside). Works great for my needs. Great option if you don't want to spend too much on outdoor spkrs. I am generally a Bowers n Wilkins guy and know quality sound. I have a 3 sets of Bowers n Wilkins set ups in my home.

Didn't read other responses so I'm sorry if this has been said already, but these are pretty decent speakers for even their MSRP price point, and the Sonos amp (for large spaces), is quite powerful and ok sounding.

This is actually about $150 under wholesale if you were to purchase this kit direct from Sonance as a reseller.

I spec the Sonance Mariners on a lot of cheaper projects with great success. The Sonos outdoor speakers are rebranded Mariners.

Even if you don't have a Sonos ecosphere, you might want to consider this combo as the unit can be used as a dummy amp if needed, and you'll have a built in streamer down the road when you realize the inevitable convenience of Sonos.

I don't really need the Amp, I needed a replacement for my old Connect. And unfortunately, the Amp has no line level outputs. I'm only in the market for additional speakers because weather destroyed my original outdoor speaker after only about 10 years. I'm hoping the warranty and the design will work better on this one for much longer.

How you connect the INDOOR amp to the OUTDOOR sonance apeaker? Through WiFi? I assume you don't need to run a 50' cable through the wall?

This is an awesome deal. I was looking for a second Amp unit for our outdoor speakers. Perfect timing, thank you!

Hard wired speakers only. The amp is meant to be put out of sight, since your fine tuning is done on the amp. Not easy do to for a retrofit, depending on the situation.
