We had the worst time with this service and had to switch back to cable internet. I spent probably more than 10 hours on the phone over a week with their tech support. It would work fine for a brief moment and then nothing despite appearances that everything was OK. It was a complete nightmare.

My speeds are around 400/40, but it's useless if you do online gaming.
For office and home use and streaming, it works well.

see below. you can do your own research too.

Hello! I apologize that you are having issues with Home Internet. I personally use T-Mobile Home Internet for Gaming, and I can agree with you it can be a little frustrating getting it to work with Video Games if at all. The reason for this (confirmed by a Supervisor from Home Internet department) is because the High-Speed Gateway lacks the "UPnP" feature which in short terms is used to connect to certain aspects of a Video Game such as Chat Systems for example. Without UPnP, video gaming can be tough. T-Mobile is aware of the issue, and they are working on a fix, but don't know when it will be released. I hope my answer has helped. Have a great week!

and

had issues with the port forwarding. The issue is that t-mobile and others use a carrier grade NAT which will never assign you a public IP when connecting to the internet. You will be assigned a shared IP to WAN which means there is no way to direct any particular port to your device directly. Unless t-mobile offers a service to allow a public or dedicated IP this probably will never be supported, even if the router they provide has it available in their settings

Love my T Mobile home internet....saving $20/mo compared to Spectrum with speeds at least 2 to 7 times faster! (150mbps download up to as high as 500mbps). If you're close to the towers, you'll love it....seems to be hit or miss though, although I've heard more people like it than not.

Same here. Only other option is 15mb no name company. And I pay $155 a month. AND T-Mobile is available across the street from m but not at my house. Merica.
not that i'd recommend this but you can easily sign up for service at the house across the street. I know this because i signed up with a billing & shipping address for the device that is different from the service address - and my billing/shipping address didnt show as being eligible for the service. I plan to use it at the service address, but as far as I can tell tmobile will send nothing there or use it for anything else than verifying if you'll get reception (and probably to ensure their service in that area is not overloaded).

You're right, and I actually considered that. However, the 911 system is tied to that address if you're calling on Wi-Fi, and I always am because service is horrible here. With small children I can't risk that. Maybe there's a way around it but likely not, I bet.

If you have hardline ISP service, stay with it. If you are in a rural area and have no other option but this then this is an option over viasat or hughesnet. Just my 2 cents.

I'll be pretty disappointed if I'm not qualified for the rebate as I literally signed up a week ago, but the service so far has been pretty good. I got "4 bars" on the modem that translates to 300/40 on off-peak hours and around 180/20 during the day. Latency is pretty shoddy during the day with ping times fluctuating up to 600ms, but not much of an issue for me as I don't really play competitive fps games these days.

When I try and sign up online it says it's not available at my location, but it's available at the house across the street... 40 feet from me. WTF?
So order one on that address.

It's for rural areas and for urban areas with great 5g UC deployment. I'm in downtown Chicago and I'm getting consistent 500-650 down, 60-75 up and around 25 ping. Compared to my previous gigabit cable modem service the download speed is about the same, the upload is more than 3x faster, the latency is 20-30ms worse but it's about $40 cheaper per month,,, so it's great for me

Damn nothing at my location. Can't wait until they come to my area to break those monopoly of the cable company. I really don't have any alternatives to cable internet at my place.
Same and it sucks. Anxiously awaiting for it.

This was my experience as well. Even worse, their customer service was separate from regular Tmo customer service and they flat-out lied to us about all aspects of this service. I suspect they are being hammered to "sell" the service and no one is buying lol.

I've had this in the NC mountains and it's been fantastic. Handles all streaming needs just fine.

Having said that, there's a T-Mobile tower about 100 yards away from my property, so that may be why.
