Just a clarification that the OP didn't include - the $50 gift card is only if you decide to join Visible as a paying customer after the trial is over. You won't just get a $50 gift card for doing the trial.

Q & A
No, a payment method is not needed during the free trial period.
If you join Visible, you can keep the trial number. The trial number is not available to be ported to another carrier or otherwise retained, so your only right to the trial number is to continue to use it on a paying Visible account, at which point you will have all rights to the number set forth in the Visible service terms and conditions.

Devil's advocate here, but I can't help but wonder what stops them from assigning higher data priority to these trial plans in order to sign up customers. I've had Visible for a year and although their coverage is excellent, data deprioritization in congested areas is pretty bad. When visiting the mall or Costco, despite having five bars I would literally not even be able to load Speedtest because the data was so slow. In rural areas however, coverage and speed were second to none.
Not sure how long this will be available, but if you have a 5G phone you may want to wait until closer to January 19 to sign up when Verizon is supposed to turn on a bunch of 5G. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/ar...ught-delay

Doubtful, but possible. It was the same with US Mobile and their Verizon service. Either it worked great or was painful/unusable, with little in-between. It's why I left for ATT and their $250 per BYOD credits for now.

SE 2020 phone not eligible? The SE 2020 was introduced in 2020 vs XR in 2018.

Postpaid, it's supposed to be a limit of 2 per account but I got all 5 lines to show the credit in my cart and after my first bill the full $1250 is being applied in increments. I won't have a bill for ~6 months. Also, join AARP(don't have to be old) to get the Elite plan for $10 off per line.
I already have an ATT account for two Mobley Connected Car lines, so this is just a sub-account for that.
Once the credits run out it is just under $200 for 5 lines for the Elite plan. I'll evaluate my next move at that point, which may be Verizon for BYOD credits.
edit: under $200 incl taxes and fees.

Visible pulling that kind of bait-and-switch would blow up in their face.
I'm on visible and I have the same experience at Costco. Data speed is ass where it's almost unusable. You can have excellent signal strength but the data is awful. Whether that's from deprioritization or you are in an area roaming (no roaming permitted) is a guess.
15 day free trial is a good way for people to decide whether Visible works for their area.

I wouldn't put it past Verizon to do that.
The problem is the level of competence required to pull it off.
Visible can't even get eSIM (for phones and Apple watches) right, so there's no chance they can manage this.
