Ultra SF2 is very similar to HD Remix on the Xbox 360/PS3 -- totally redrawn art and some rebalancing (less so than HD Remix, which was polarizing). It also has some bonus features, such as the addition of two broken characters: Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. Ultra also has better/more active online play than 30th Anniversary's games.

If you really want the history and all the variations, get Anniversary. If you want the new updates, get HD Remix. If you don't have a strong preference on either score and just want to play old-school Street Fighter with friends or whatever, just get whatever's cheaper.

(I have Anniversary on PC and Ultra on Switch.)

How is this better than buying the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection that HAS different version of SF 2? Like what makes this one stand out than the aforementioned collection?

This is most up to date version with an HD remaster. Not as much bang for you buck but most feature full version I believe

I guess its the definitive edition of super street fighter 2. Thinking about getting it, but dang I have so many SF games, including the 30th, not sure I need it. If someone else could chime in id be interested.

Just the HD version? That's it? Seem too pricey for $20 especially in digital. Idk

edit: physical copy is more expensive. geez.

Ultra rarely on sale therefore keep the price and HD, 30th anniversary you can get it for cheap like $20 anytime maybe lower.

For anyone asking. Anniversary edition is garbage. I don't care how many games it has if they all play like crap online. There is a reason anniversary edition has always been on sale since day 1. It sucks. This is the true steer fighter game for switch. You will not be disappointed.

Rumor has it this is coming to PC and all major consoles later this year, with achievements and online play. Wait for that version.
