I could actually use this if it were always on, with a way to set the volume on power up, but most of these modern units have a timeout without auto-on, and fire up to a default volume of <30%. The "manual" does not illuminate either of these points.
Finally, except for the last 2-3 month, the entire Amazon price history of this unit - via three camels - is $40. $2 off just isn't a "deal" in my book.

Joking aside, the reviews are good and I might consider this unit for a basic garage setup
-$38 for a functioning stereo is a bargain. Yes it's made cheap. It's $38 🤔
-Dual 12v and household power capabilities give this unit incredible versatility for the right situation. For example a camper or living off the grid. Plug and play out of the box with a 12v solar panel or an automotive application is impressive and rare among home stereos.
-Everything works. The SD reader does fine with MP3s though navigation is rudimentary.
-Bluetooth syncs without delay to my laptop, my phone, and my kindle- range isn't much beyond four feet tho.
-the FM receiver itself is staticky and sucky to deal with trying to get channels, likes to auto program itself, has a big antenna, but delivers poorly.
-there's no way this thing is 200 w, I'd guess 40 real watts. It does crank fairly loud before it starts clipping. Not quite loud enough for my taste but again it's only $38.
-the blue lights are obnoxious at night and cannot be disabled as far as I can tell
-it has a line in I've used successfully with both a TV and an iPod
-the flimsy remote is mostly ignored due to its lack of usefulness. I'd pay more for a better remote.
-it's built solid and feels rugged enough, it has a tactile power button which is easy to find in the dark given the guardrails.
-the only thing I have not plugged in yet is a microphone, and it is curious that it has two microphone inputs.
*After a year of daily use, everything still works as it did day one.
-in my next stereo I want: dedicated subwoofer output, surround or theater sound, a decent remote, a highly rated FM stereo.
Would I buy Pyle again? Absolutely!
