A laminate cutter is good advice for the length. But you may still need to notch several outer planks with something like a jigsaw.

Picked one up today. There were quite a few in my store. They were not in the location or quantity listed on the Lowes website. My local store was listed as unavailable but there were more than 12 in stock. I was about to give up when I spotted the whole stack of them at the end of an Isle rather than the location listed on the website.

Picked one up as I cut a few pieces of wood or PVC every few years that this will work fine for. They had 5 left at my store and quite a few other things on clearance. According to the printing on the box, these are to be sold by the end of month.

You may be surprised at just how heavy a 12" sliding miter saw is. I have one and moving it is horrendous. Plus bumping it out of alignment is a major fear whenever i do move it so it stays a shop saw only.

Good price for sure, but I just don't see much use, even casual use, for this. Besides it's very limited cut size, you can bet it's not the most precise thing around either. Your just as well off using a regular circ saw and square, or for thin stuff like flooring or round stuff, a quick brace or jig out of a scrap piece or 2 of wood.

The cross cut capability is 4-1/4 inches. This just not appear to be a sliding compound miter saw, which you might be looking for.
