Was seriously considering this but based on comments here, including:
1. 4K not reference material
2. Digital codes only 1080p
3. Not inclusion of NTTD
I am thinking they will be releasing a new Daniel Craig collection that fixes all these issues. Will wait personally. But it is a great price if someone does not care for the things l listed above.

This is a set I chose to save some dough on, and just go with the regular blu rays. The audio is the same as the 4k versions, and as others mentioned, the critics weren't smitten with all the 4k video transfers. Having watched Casino Royale and Skyfall (didn't feel like re-watching QoS) they looked great on a 65". But, IMHO, the surround sound is where these movies really shine. I'm not saying these won't look "better" in 4k, but good Blu rays with identical audio can hold their own.

I bought this so they would release more classic Bond on 4K discs back when it released...

... ... apparently this strategy has not yet worked out.

I also think it's very VERY presumptive to think MGM is going to remaster these and put out another set. If they were going to release a new set they would have done it when NTTD released on physical 4K disc.

Thanks for posting this. I had purchased this set like a week ago on Amazon with a $7 coupon for $35.99. Did a return and rebuy at this price.... ridiculous Amazon will not simply do a price adjustment within 30 days and give a credit back. How much money do they waste in return shipping?

It IS ridiculous that they won't price match and instead force you to reorder and return the original purchase to get the savings within your return period. That being said, most "normal" people don't bother… which is EXACTLY why they don't offer price protection in this manner. Us Slickdealers ain't exactly normal though haha. I would have done the same thing as you! For such a "woke" company that supposedly cares about the environment so much, you'd think they'd want to be seen decreasing their "carbon footprint" by saving 66% of the needed shipping (sending 2nd product and the return shipping for the original) as well as all the packaging materials needed!

Maybe, but the wife and I still watched it twice in the theater. Probably nothing else to watch at the time.

I did see two newer reviews stating the 4k digital code came in their set. One mentioned it redeemed to itunes. But yes there are 4k reviews pre 2020 stating 1080p vudu only digital. But there are many dvd and blu-ray no digital or vudu only complaints mixed into the reviews.

Yes I bought the 4K box set in December 2019 and it only redeemed to HD. I contacted the Studio Support and they said…

"FOX will Support a UHD transfer with your product if/when available. Currently, VUDU is in the process of setting of their UHD redemptions for this bundle and when/If in the future when the UHD version is available on VUDU and you do not have access to this version please contact us for further assistance. Please hold to on to your original insert as well as the product packaging (UPC) as images will be required if the correct version is not added automatically when available."

That was in 2nd Jan 2020. 2 years later, I still see 1080p in VUDU.
