Got mine today. This is the second refurb'd XR I've ordered. First one had some uneven backlighting on the bottom edge that I hadn't seen in any other iPhone, so likely an aftermarket screen. Not very noticeable and I was trading it in anyway so I didn't care.

This second one, screen is perfect and battery is at 100% as usual. I was curious so I connected it to my Mac and used Coconut Battery to look at the battery stats. Battery is manufactured 12/2020 - "Sunwoda" brand, which is the same as my new/never refurb'd XR. I thought the batteries had to be replaced but these could just have been returns collecting dust in a warehouse that they're finally getting rid of.. who knows.

Sunwoda has been one of the official OEM supplier for Apple

I think a cheap Tracfone Android phone with USB-C is better, except if you need Apple Music as a streaming service.

Those Android phone with USB-C, such as A01, A11, is great for connecting DAC. The only thing you need on software side is using UAPP to bypass Android sampling restriction. You can also get 512GB sdcard for local music files, vs this 64GB iPhone.
Yes, I agree with that. I have a Pioneer DAP already for my high res files.
What I like about using my own iPhone is: Apple Music, and it sends the correct signal to my DAC and not upsample like a Mac would.
And I have a Bluetooth remote for it.
What I don't like is, I can't use my iphone while it's connected to the stereo all the way by the rack. (I don't like wireless, it defeats the purpose)
So for $130 I have a player to do this.
I just want to make sure is a one time payment.

I got one that didn't work...double Sim. It seemed like it was going to... but now it doesn't respond anymore. Phone is still locked.

Was it because I didn't activate the phone first?

Does the Rsim have to stay on the chip or do you remove it?

Thanks
which seller / eBay did you buy ?
you do have to activate the phone with Apple, you can do that without TW SIM
RSIM can be removed once it does its thing
you will have to resign in your apple account once RSIM does its thing - this I feel, is a tell tale sign that it has overwritten the ICCID successfully
SIM lock status will change to 'no sim restrictions'
then insert your SIM of choice

I landed into same situation like yours with double sim. It stopped responding. I returned the rsim and bought turbosim, managed to unlock the phone.

So neither rsim nor double Sim worked for you?

Does the Rsim, Turbosim, Whitesim, etc work to unlock the phone for Sprint sim/activation?

Anybody's shipment get stuck somewhere in Kentucky? I bought 3 phones and only received 1. The other 2 haven't moved in 5 days.
I ordered on Jan 13 and got a notice on the 14th that my order had shipped. Five days later, the UPS status is still showing as "label created", but not "on the way" yet.

Have you got the $800 trade-in successfully? The TMO promo wording looks like iphone13 $800 trade-in requires a new line in MM plan now. Without new line, it's only $400.
When I try eligible upgrade and enter the imei, it's showing $140 as trade in value. I am in Essentilals plan. Wondering if any offer comes for the Mother's Day, will the value be the same?

2 more XR just came in.

One is rather old, activated way back 2020/09, but still looks pristine, so mostly likely everything except the main board is new. Also the screen is warmer colors than all others I have.

So I'm seeing at least 3 variants of screens, yet I have no idea if any or none of those is OEM lol, but don't care as long as they run and look fine.

So I ordered the XR from back in December. It was pretty much brand new, no scratches anywhere. Battery health showed 100%.
I've been using it on wifi without activating it. This morning all of a sudden, my face id and passcode stopped working. Can't even log in. I get a message telling me iPhone is not activated, contact your carrier.
Has anyone had similar issues? How would I get back into my phone?

How were you able to find out when it was activated?
