Looks like SD listing was 12/21 so allowing for shipping time probably won't know anything till almost end of Feb for the refurbished XR's.

Phones activated after 11/23 are being unlocked, but so far all have had at least 60 days of service.

Most people who activated past date of the new policy had it done with either 90 days or yearly service options so for them it's not a problem to get it unlocked since they will still be within 60days of service. As far as the second month required or not popped up much later on and majority people who bought the phones in deals afterwards turned them in for trade ins so they didn't own them enough to find out.
If you're worried about it then just pay for the second month and if you used referral 3rd or 4th month should be covered by rewards points.

Nice, so according to that screenshot, we should get a text message that confirms when phone was unlocked.

My 1st XR activation was 12/29/21, 60 days makes it 2/27/22, I'm exactly 2 weeks away.

Next 2 was done about a month later, so those aren't going to be eligible for some time.

I did 2x 12minis yesterday, so their 60 day journeys just started...

I never got any message on my iphone, just kept checking it until it showed "no sim restrictions".
(my unlock was automatic, many have not been).
Things are rarely consistent when dealing with TW/TF.

has the unlock process changed, for newer IOS devices?

in the past you had to perform a system restore to get the device unlocked.

my last unlock was on my XS Max (few days ago), the carrier (tmo) told me to wait 24 hours after the unlock was processed, I was thinking I had to do a restore so I did restore the phone and inserted a non-active ATT card, it wasn't until exactly 24 hours since I got the call did activation go through, at which time I checked and it said no sim restrictions.

what you're saying sounds like it will automatically change to "no sim restictions" once the unlock process was completed and propagated?

it would be good to know what the exact process is since, well, I do have multiple phones awaiting the unlock and it'll be way more efficient to know what exactly is required to do once the unlock has been fully processed.

in any case we should all keep an eye on when 60 days hits, for me I'll know on 2/27 I did pay for a 2nd month service and no sim switchero was done on this phone. I guess this will be my reference model if all goes well.

I had a Tracfone iPhone 6S+ unlocked like 2-ish years ago after 12 months of services, and I had to fill out the web-form to unlock it. It just went "no SIM restriction" silently after a few days.

Mine was new phone under the new 60 day policy & auto unlocked at 61 days with no assistance.
No way to know if it will be as easy for others since so far most reporting on Howard Forums TF threads have had to contact unlock dept to get it completed. Just haven't been enough phones unlocked yet, should know more in 2 weeks.

Nah I'm planning to get a 2nd month for all my phones. I'll be able to use my points after the 27th I currently have 38k points 😆 that's be a lot of extra months.

But I'm sure there's guys on here who won't get the second month out of spite or plain don't care. We should hear from them if it happens to unlock.

You do not need to reset the phone.

It should be:
- no reboot require, or
- reboot require, or
- put in a different SIM

Tried several unlock recently with this 3 situations
