Upgraded to iOS 15.2.1 and checked for Parts and Service History under Settings > General > About. As there was no Parts and Service History, the battery is not a replacement. Any battery replacement, whether genuine Apple or third-party, would show up in the history.
For XRs (unlike 12s or 13s), screen replacements will not show up in the history. A visual examination of my XR doesn't show any obvious evidence of screen replacement.
Posted by another user, FYI: For those who are wondering if you want to do a return, Yes you do have to pay return shipping if it was delivered to you. If you refuse the package you will not have to pay return shipping. For returning, USPS(Postal Service) First Class with tracking or Priority mail recommended but UPS and Fedex should work as well. (ALWAYS make sure you get tracking on your package or it can complicate your return and or cause a return to "have no evidence of arriving")

Trade-in Options (From asianman35, Post 1156):
1. trade in to best buy for $190 gift card
2. trade in to apple for $200 gift card
3. trade in to gamestop for $210 credit or $168 cash
4. use to trade in with your carrier (sprint seems to be a great deal right now)
5. activate and hope that it unlocks after 60 days? some people are saying this wont happen since these have been activated on totalwireless already (hence theyre refurbs).

Well as per the new policy after take over from Verizon in November,Tracphone has updated its unlocking policy for apple devices to be 60 days post activation if activated after Nov 23rd-2021
That said,I have reached to multiple customer care rep and have even called and the fact that it gets unlocked after 60 days is something they all echoed but there was difference on if it active service or just first month of activation. There is no proven way until Jan 23rd to see when this first set of deals got launched to see how it goes.
The unlocking policy does mention it will automatically unlock after 60 days - But if some one or most of the folks trading in should not have a problem .If you plan to keep this phone for a longer run and use it I would activate the service for the second month to avoid any hassle in pushing Customer rep to unlock .As i did call out we will have to wait to see how it actually works. Its an additional $20-$22 to get some total wireless prepadi cards on sale or deals.
In the worst case if this not does not get honored we can still encash for trade in or other options to sell this for cash.
Any one with still having doubts on the unlock policy can contact customer care for their satisfaction before they jump in - however as i mentioned its more of waiting game as I did realize it was not consistent reply.

Submitted information to Visible but port isn't going through because they get an error message that there's Number Transfer Protection on my account and it needs to be turned off. There's nothing in my TW account about this so I chatted with a rep and they gave me a number to call with an access code. Called, on hold for 30 minutes, and got a rep who couldn't help me but was going to transfer me to someone who could help. Call got dropped during the transfer.
I found a number for the TW port specialists and asked for a callback. It was supposed to happen no later than half an hour ago but I'm still waiting.
Update: Visible rep gave me a different number for TW porting: 800-327-2077. Called and no hold time. TW rep had me request a new NTP which I provided to Visible rep. TW Rep stayed on the phone the entire time to see if it went through. Visible rep had to send the info to their port department and I have to wait for an email to see if the port goes through.

FOR TOTAL WIRELLESS Your account # is the IEMI the serial number for your phone on that account.
To get your NTP Pin Text NTP to 611611 from the phone you are trying to port over. Pease note that this takes a few minutes to respond. If you text it AGAIN it will generate different NTP you so you must use the last on they sent you. ALSO THEY ARE ONE OF THE ONLY CARRIERS WHERE YOUR ZIP CODE ON YOUR TW ACCOUNT MUST MATCH WHAT YOU GIVE THEM FOR THE PORT. This data point was especially revenant to me as I choose a zip outside of my actual number initially with TW to secure an out of state number. Little did know that they added this zip code to my account. As a result my first port failed. You can check your zip code by logging into the TW app or through a browser.
On a side note I am glad I dumped the XR's I wasn't using at Game Stop the value for the gift card is down to $194.00. If you have to dump them dump them now this is the second price drop this month

Even after I requested a NTPIN, TW texted me a different one unprompted when they confirmed receiving the port-out request from the new carrier. So the NTPIN I provided in my original port request became invalid.
