Reasons: More than double the storage and a gasket to keep out dust/moisture. Purchased for $13 in store, I keep it bungee corded in the bed of my truck and use it to stow misc items.
The Plano will have thicker walls for more durability, but I'm not tossing this item around. It stays put. I hope this helps anyone!

This looks like a really great bin for my purpose of sorting recycling next to my garage which have to be hauled to town. Anybody find an economical source for them?
I think that is what he meant by when he stated standing on a box.

I'm confused. How is 30 gallons more than double 68 quarts? Isn't it 4qt to the gallon in imperial? Wouldn't this be 17, then?

Im a software engineer. You couldn't pay me enough to work on auto-correct. If you do your job flawlessly, nobody notices. But EVERY mistake...
Although, I DO agree. I have never, EVER meant "ducking".
So this thing will hold about 2 3/4 cubic feet of stuff.
I find it useful to know I can divide the gallons by 6 1/4 to find cubic feet. It's easier to visualize cubic feet, for me.
8.3 lb water per gal
62.3 lb water per cu ft
