"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"
SIM options
Tracfone: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
Total Wireless: Verizon
Simple Mobile: T-Mobile
Net10: ATT(now removed), T-Mo, Verizon
Pageplus: Verizon
Walmart Family Mobile: T-Mo
Straight Talk: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
I've been doing this a while and know the ins and outs of TFW. Verizon may or may not force all brands to their network at some point. They also may consolidate the brands, but that's the rundown.

So just to clarify: I don't need to have a 3rd month of service? Right? I only need 2 months of service at most. Some posts said 61 days which is one day more than 2 months and that confused me.
The question is simply about activating a TW phone that came with a SIM card.
It seems to me as long as you can get it "activated" in some shape or form it will get auto-unlocked after 60 days. We have seen at least 1 case where someone transferred his/her 1-year HSN TF plan to another android phone, and triggered an "activation" and auto-unlocked after 60 days.

I didn't know there were confirms of such cases.
many posts.
2. The TW sim needs to be activated as a TF line. You can do this on your account on TF. This iPhone only unlocks WITH the sim it comes with. This is what I was told by the support. If you use any other TF sim, it will not unlock later and possibly even complicate things. Even if it's a TW sim, it can be activated as a TF sim and then this sim should be used for the 60 day service.
3. 61 days of service for every line. Not just one. You won't get the 7k to use until all the lines that have referenced each other pass the 60 day mark.
4. You can get 3 months of service with around 4.5k pts. With 12k, you can get a year of free service. With 20k, you can get pretty big discounts on phone purchases. This is all of the top of my memory so some parts might be inaccurate.
Both TF and TW had way worse unlocking methods before (12 month). Now, you just need 2 month of active service for iPhones and 2 month of paid service for Android. Of course that is assuming everything goes correctly.
1. How do you activate this phone as a TF? Currently i have an account with neither service. So if i have to use the sim that came how to activate it with TF that still confusing for me. How do i create a TF account with a TW sim
2. I guess TF has 90 day plan for $20 thats why it might be preferable as the cheapest option. So if i activate it with TF somehow will i have to still get the free month that i paid for while buying the phone or will i have to load the TF 90 day plan first and forget about the TW plan? Will this 90 day TF plan unlock this TW phone?
3. Does TF have the same referral rewards as TW since i was hoping to use rewards for the 2nd and 3rd phone. Will i be able to use TF rewards to pay for 2nd and 3rd line?
4. Finally from what folks told me if u want to get reward third month has to be paid for 61st day. With TW apparently someone with usable rewards can purchase a plan for others. Will some kind soul work with me to use their points to purchase 2 months on first line for 5k points? I have 3 lines so that i can refer to you which will net 15k -21k for you - plus the 5k-11k balance that will remain on my account i will credit to you so you will net 15k-26k. I am willing to pay some cash for your original points which u hopefully refund once the points are refunded to u
Basically $175 to upgrade to iphone 13? Do you guys think that is is a good deal?
My only hesitation is this is still a brand new iphone11 but I hate this unlock unknown lol

Case 1
Activate with TW - first month included with purchase. Some king person willing to work with to pay with points for 2nd and 3rd month service on line 1 - which i return withe 15k-21k points back.
Case 2
This is what you did - activate with TF. Sorry to ask you again how exactly do you do this? Do i go to TF site activate with TW sim and pay for plan or do i first have to buy a TF plan and SIM - dont want to mess this up.
This 8000 points with TF u get on day 61 are these from referrals or adding a new line? Will this 8000 points be enough to pay for the 2nd and 3rd line? And again if u cant activate 2nd and 3rd line with points will i then have to pay 17.99 for each one of those too and will not be able to use those 8k points. How do i get this 8k points for each line - will i have to create new accounts to get referral or do i get 8k points for each new line i add to an existing account? And what did you do with your TW plan? Also lets say i accrue 24000 points (still not sure if same account or 3 different accounts - and choose to keep one line - from the 2 accounts that i close will i be able will be able to use 16000 points to buy service on line 1 at the same time and will they just stack? So if i buy $160 worth of service from two accounts that i close after day 90 will that buy me like 9 months that i can prepurchase?
Finally with promo work for refurbished xr?

Today I reached out to customer service to check on unlocking and they said it was after 12 months of paid service. I told them about the 60 day policy and sent them a link but they said they have no knowledge about that.
Anyone else face this> or did I do something wrong? or is the weekend CS staff just plain dumb?
Thx
1st line: you can get a referral code from someone with 5+ referrals: create new account for 8000 points.
2nd line: you can add a line to 1st account to get 7000 points (15000 total now), or create a new account and use 1st 's referral code to get 5000 points. 1st account gets 5000 too (13000 total).
3rd line: you can add a line to 1st account to get 7000 points (22000 total now), or create a third account and use 1st referral to get 6000 points. 1st account gets 9000 points (22000 total).
If you 1st use someone's referral, then add the two lines to your account, you get 22000 total points.
If you use 1st account to refer 2nd an 3rd accounts, 1st account get 22000 total, 2nd account gets 5000 and 3rd gets 6000, for a combined 33000 points. You can add balance to other accounts.
1000 points = 1GB data, 2000 points = extend service by 90 days. 12500 points = 1500/1500/1.5GB for 365 days.
