Yes, they are awesome. We have done a few for family and they all loved them.
Yes. I have one that is almost five years old. It's nice. Good quality as anywhere.
Note: For best quality photos: After you click "Upload" (bottom right corner), there is an "Upload Preferences" option. Here you can change the resolution from the default "Standard Resolution" to "Full Resolution" and also remove the red eye correction. If you have already done this before, your preferences should be saved.

1. Quality control is so lacking that it's necessary for you to check the products when you receive it very closely. The biggest obstacle to getting decent enough results is a place with knowledgeable/competent employees in the photo department. I've had to go to multiple Walgreens or come back to the same one at different times to get better results from employees.
2. The metal prints ARE cool and can look great. I've had issues with streaking and/or drops of color from carelessness, and also off-centered prints. Also, fingerprints from handling! (so make sure your hands are clean when checking it) The good news is that if they aren't busy it only takes like 10 minutes for them to make you another print right then and there.
3. Canvases can be wildly maddening there, especially because their stretching/framing method is really weird and easily leads to shoddy results. I got a huge batch done two times last year during their 75% off sales, which saved me hundreds of dollars vs competitors (10 16x20s and 8 11x14s in total). However, only because of the large order and savings was it worth it... At the initial location I had them printed most of them had one or more of these issues: color banding, off-center wrapping, crappy corner folding (one set was an absolute joke), loose canvas stretching, wood pieces not level on the back, back plastic corner pieces either loose or actually falling out, sawtooth hanger either off center, backwards or fallen off completely. After this order was so bad I had to have another place totally redo it because this place was not competent enough to do it right. But even after the color was better, I still had to fix the framing myself at home with a rubber mallet and reapply many of the hangers. I could've just had them redo them again, but it seemed easier for me to just fix it myself. Again, knowing how super cheap these were, and the fact that they do actually look very nice on the wall after all is said and done, and most people that come into your house aren't going to notice the imperfections that I notice, it's a huge savings, so in the end it's worth it.
